Tea Tree Oil, Acne, Acne Scarring And Cuts

Does tea tree oil help to heal acne scarring? It's something that you might be thinking about. I actually have a little history with tea tree oil - since I live in Australasia (that's where tea tree oil is made) it's been one of the most familiar essential oils in my house. It's one that I use (and still use) whenever acne rears its head and it's something that's just incredibly helpful.

Let me say something simply: Tea tree oil just isn't helpful when you need to treat acne scarring. There is no evidence that it has ever worked and it just isn't something that you should waste your time with. However - I do recommend that you have a bottle on hand. That's because it's an incredibly effective anti-bacterial oil and when you need to treat proper acne, there are no products that can come even slightly close. It's a highly effective, highly potent way of removing acne as well as treating any cuts and scrapes that you may endure.

It's very easy to use if you want to use it to treat acne. Just boil a kettle, pour the liquid over the corner of a face cloth and gently dab your acne with it. Careful - it's very, very hot! Try not to come into too much contact with the skin - when you just touch the acne it won't be too bad at all. Now use a cotton bud soaked in tea tree oil to treat dab onto the acne. The reason this method works is because the hot water brings out the bacteria and oils in the acne, and the tea tree oil zaps it. It's very effective, and often it's only taken me a couple of attempts to remove the zit.

Tea tree oil is also very helpful when treating cuts. Just dab a bit on. Yes, it can sting. The smell is quite strong. But there is no other natural product that I would rather have at hand then tea tree oil in a minor emergency. It's incredible stuff.

So there we have it. Tea tree oil doesn't work very effectively at all for acne scarring. But you should still have a bottle in the house for any further outbreaks or any minor injuries. It's a highly effective anti bacterial product and it's worth seeking out just because of how useful it is in general situations. I recommend it.
