Many people normally value their sleep. However, if you usually snore, you might be disturbing the people you live with. This means that they will not have sufficient sleep during the night. 1. Quit Smoking And Alcohol Consumption

Most people find it difficult to stop smoking and taking alcohol once they are addicted to them. However, did you know that smoking and alcohol consumption normally do you more harm than good? You will realize that drinking relaxes the throat uncontrollably while smoking causes some cellular changes within the esophagus. The end result is that the air passages will be blocked, thereby blocking the normal flow of air. This makes you snore. 2. Change Your Sleeping Posture

When your air passages are clear within your mouth, you are not likely to snore. This is the reason why you should use one or two extra pillows to prop your head up when sleeping. This will go a long way in keeping your airway clear within your mouth. When you sleep on your back, your tongue and jaws normally tend to drop back thereby making you to snore. 4. Elevate Your Bed To About 30 Degrees

5. Avoid Dairy Before Bedtime

It is advisable that you avoid dairy products before bedtime. Some of these products include milk, butter and so on. This will greatly reduce snoring. In addition, do not go to bed with a full stomach as this can affect the airflow within your throat.

6. Meditation

Meditation is very important before bedtime. If you combine meditation with yoga routine, your mind and body will be in a more relaxed state, thereby allowing you to sleep well without snoring.

7. Avoid Taking Sleeping Pills

You will realize that sleeping pills might trigger snoring in an individual who does not snore at all. This is because these pills allows the entire body to relax and therefore blocking airflow in the throat.
