Snoring – Simple Causes And Simple Solutions

If you are reading this article here at Street Articles then there is no need to ramble on about how snoring is annoying and annoying the people around you or how you want to stop it as we are have all been in that boat and tackled this problem.

We know that snoring leads to a lot of stress (personally or through family or relationships) and can also be the sign of a health problem. Not getting a proper nights sleep for the snorer or the person next to the snorer will bring on irritation and anxious feelings but though snoring can instantly be stopped through surgery, it can be stopped naturally once you know why you snore and take action.

What Can Cause My Snoring?

- Alcohol. Drinking alcohol is a big reason why we snore. I cut back on what I drank, especially late at night and it had a dramatic effect on my snoring. Alcohol tends to relax our throat muscles increasing the loudness of the snore.

- Smoking. Yes, smoking is bad for everything it seems and smoking can cause nasal congestion.

- Lying On Your Back. Sleeping in faulty positions. This allows the tongue to drop to the back of the throat. Your snoring could simply be you just need to try sleeping on your side more often.

- Not Fit/Over weight. Been overweight has a huge effect on our snoring but this can be tackled with regular exercise.

- Throat Fat. Fat can gather around the throat and is a major cause of snoring.

- Nasal Tissue. You may have too much throat and nasal tissue or another reason could be your jaw while you sleep may be out of place.

What Can I Do To Stop This Snoring?

- Change You. Take on regular exercise, change some of the foods you eat that cause the build up of mucus (dairy products etc.) lose that weight. I made sure I did all this it it dramatically helped stop my snoring never mind the amazing effects it had on my body, health and physique.

- Cut Back On Alcohol. Stop drinking to much and you will see better nights sleep returning.

- Change your pillows. Could actually be this simple. Buy some anti snore pillows (harder pillow) as these may work, you never know 'till you try.

- Clear your nose. Simple. Before you sleep, give your nose a good clearing as well as your throat.

- Anyone for Tennis. The Tennis Ball trick may help, which is sleeping with a tennis ball down your back to help train you to sleep on your side.

- Sleeping Products. There are many and some work for some so always worth trying ( determination right) These range from nasal spray, nasal strips, pillows, anti-snoring clothes, homeopathy, Mouth guards etc.

- Eating. Do not eat a huge meal before you go to sleep.

- Hypnosis. Yep, this has been used on snorers to great effect but as with everything, works for some and not others but always worth a shot.

- Singing. Seriously, using your voice through singing has been shown to increase muscle control and help with snorers.

- Snoring Exercises. These have been knowing to help and there are hundreds so do some research and try some.

- Books and E-books. There are countless books to help you and most have been written by people in the same boat with the same problem, and come up with amazing solutions to stop snoring, but again, their methods work for some and not others. It is just a matter of finding the right how to stop snoring ebooks, reading what problems this person had, do you relate to this person and if so trying their methods.

These are just some of the ways to tackle and take care of the snoring problem. Through exercise, cutting back on alcohol and a slight change in diet I eliminated my snoring problem (maybe I should write y own e book) but find the reason why you snore, and with some of the tips above you should be able to take on this monster.
