100 Matches In February: All Results

The month of February was spectacular. Almost 100 matches were played in all around the world. The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the Orange Africa Cup of Nations was co-hosted in two countries: Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. It took place from 21 January to 12 February 2012. Zambia, in the final, defeated third-time finalists Côte d'Ivoire after a dramatic penalty shootout. Zambia obtained their first continental title.

Asian teams, on the other hand, had a tremendous qualifier date on February 29. It was the last and decisive date of the third stage. Iraq and Jordan advanced in Group A. China PR and Singapore were eliminated. South Korea and Lebanon advances in Group B. Kuwait and United Arab Emirates were eliminated. Uzbekistan and Japan advanced in Group C. North Korea and Tajikistan were eliminated. Australia and Oman advanced in Group D. Saudi Arabia and Thailand were eliminated. Finally, Iran and Qatar advanced in Group E. Bahrain and Indonesia were eliminated. Bahrain defeated 10-0 to Indonesia, but it was not enough to advance to the next stage.

The teams of CONMEBOL, CONCACAF and OFC played also many matches. The most important results were: Italy 0-1 United States, England 2-3 Netherlands, Switzerland 1-3 Argentina (Messi 3), Germany 1-2 France and Spain 5-0 Venezuela. All results are shown below.
