In my profession as a recruitment consultant, I am often approached by people seeking employment even after they have retired. You would think that when someone retires that they would enjoy their golden years by relaxing, taking cruises around the world, taking up new hobbies and enjoying time with their grandchildren etc. However, more and more people who have retired, have found themselves looking for part-time or full-time recruitment jobs on the Internet.
What I am keen to understand (and perhaps you are too) is why those who retire end up searching for new jobs? I want to offer you my findings and explain the main reasons why people are constantly looking for retirement jobs on the Internet.
Spare Time On Your Hands
The really big difference that retirement has on your life is the abundance of time you seem to have on your hands. If you can imagine what it's like when you go on holiday for a couple of weeks, at the end of your holiday you are glad to be going back home because you feel like you have seen and done it all. You just want to get back to a sense of normality. Well, that same sense of normality is yearned for in the first few months of retirement.
There is a longing for the same sort of social interaction that is experienced in the workplace and also a desire to feel like you are contributing to something worthwhile. When people search for retirement jobs on the Internet they are merely attempting to reclaim that sense of worth.
Money Worries!
Although you may have paid into a pension or saved a nest egg for your retirement years, you may not have managed to save quite enough to cover the whole of your retirement. You might want to do all the nice things that were mentioned earlier like cruise around the world or take up a new hobby but the finances might not allow it.
Retirement should be enjoyed but at the end of the day, money makes the world go round. Without it, you just can do all the things that you would like or experience all the things that you have always dreamed of. Retirement jobs on the Internet give people the opportunity to make the extra money they need and live the fruitful life that they rightly deserve.
There are lots of retirement jobs on the Internet so even if you have recently retired and are left feeling a little lost, bewildered or worried about money you can apply for these jobs and work however many hours you like.
Your internet Jobs link is broken, I have some expensive goals. Affiliate marketing is paying me to live my dreams. All I have to do is show others what I am doing. Always part time and always unlimited residual income. If you are in a job you love, a residual income can increase your options. If the job is not so hot, a residual income can set you free.
Hey Kevin, The trick to not becoming depressed in retirement is to keep active and immerse yourself in the things you have a passion for. When I say immerse......hopefully you won't be jumping in the lake to catch those beauties!
I am retired and affiliate marketing really keeps me busy...it is challenging and rewarding...I may go to the lake from time to time...:)
