Social marketing impact on small business owners include 3 social media results you might not expect. Getting live feedback changes the way business feels. Followers inspire taking up leadership! Finances can change too as a small business owner gets noticed by the same type of audience -- but at a distance.
1. Getting live input.
Social media results in immediate and live feedback.
What can relevant input do for small business owners? Imagine how you can grow when you've got people helping you better fit your products and services to your audience!
From a point of view of you as an employee following rules you’re not allowed to change, feedback can certainly be a negative and stressful change, can’t it?
But if you're a small business owner personally taking action based on feedback? That's exciting.
And you the employee now have got to be included in a trusting relationship. Small business owners with employees need to get trust in a big way.
Trust is required when rules have to change. There was a time rules you are not allowed to change might have worked. It's gone.
In your social media age of social marketing, your business must apply feedback from the market. Constructively – and in real time.
Feedback changes the world!
2. Followers.
Business owner are leaders.
Leaders applying social marketing gain like-minded followers. You as leader have followers who are customers, vendors, employees, other leaders - anyone anywhere anytime!
Who you are as leader becomes publicly visible. That’s a direct impact of social media.
Like-minded people tend to follow a like-minded leader. They want someone they can look up to.
Social marketing lets who you are and what you do out into the world. Social media impact business owners by making it possible for people to find out a lot more about you.
People figure out whether they look up to you all on their own using social media. So now with social media, followers make leaders and business owners get, "found out" for good or bad.
3. Finances.
How do you serve the world?
Learning to communicate in a new way requires adapting to change. Using social media's a change producing both stress and excitement.
Many old tried and true ways of communicating got turned on end. Partly because social marketing flips private interactions into public conversations.
Partly changes are based on who is listening. Partly change in what a message does to or for them.
Learning new skills is required. On social media that’s only possible by trying and failing …and then picking yourself up to try, succeed, fail, fall and stand back up for another day.
Financial impact is unknown!
Action Steps:
1. Look at how feedback is changing your world! Do you like it?
2. Consider how your followers are inspiring you to lead!
3. What have you failed at in social media? If the answer is nothing -- then you're not taking enough action! Or you're not thinking big enough.
Social marketing impact includes feedback, followers and finances. Social marketing impact on business owners has these 3 social media result
Well. for me I have failed to reach the right audience on the social media pages. The job of Marketing one-self and their product-idea is a task better descried as an hour by hour effort. Things change quick on line and is hard to recognize your audience in the bunch.
Hi! Thank you -- I appreciate your comments. Okay, you failed to reach the right audience. Or perhaps to recognize your audience in the bunch. That's good. Why? It's good because it means you *are* taking action. Taking action is the part most people stumble on -- and the hardest one for anyone to help or to correct. From looking at your two links, It seems you have two websites already. Excellent. One appears to be an order page only. You may want to study that site, specifically asking yourself how you serve the world by that website. You may surprise yourself with ways you can enhance your content on that page! Your willingness to take action is a great asset. blessings, Cynthia
Cynthia, great article. Also I always loved the quote Keep on Keeping on
John, Thanks, John! A friend tells me that when I need to hear it! It helps me a lot. blessings, Cynthia
Cynthia another that I have downloaded to a folder, Good one. At least now I'm beginning to get a fuller picture of my future set up.
Rob, Thanks! Appreciate your comment and compliments. You're doing great in your present. Keep on keeping on. blessings, Cynthia
I'm excited how business turned to social media for the last 2 years. I like how trust determines business sales today. People now won't make a purchase unless their questions are answered from people they trust in social media networks. This is great! I guess impulse-buying is now slowly fading away, and buyers become wiser than ever. Thanks for the useful article.
Iemuel, Thank you! Yes, social media is amazing, isn't it? I suspect part of this is the need for mentors. Getting something canned without getting questions answered would be frustrating. In anything! But most especially with the combination of computers and the Internet... too many places to get stuck to fly solo. Social media let buyers and sellers get live feedback and that really changes the world. So as you say, buyers become wiser than ever -- and they inspire leadership from the people they choose to buy from. blessings, Cynthia
