Would you like to achieve anonymity on the web? It's difficult, but it's possible. I'm sorry to start on a negative note, but because I do a lot of research about privacy on the internet, it seems that every day there are forces at work that make it practically impossible to gain true anonymity online. Regardless, while surfing on your Android and iPhone is possible to browse the web anonymously. Here are some tips.
1. Use the privacy settings on your browser
This will at least set your browser to block tracking software, auto-fills, and other things that we tend to forget about when we're lazy or don't have the time. It's a real convenience to have web pages remember you, and even cookies make loading pages a bit faster, but these are some sacrifices you'll have to make to achieve privacy.
2. Sign out of all accounts
This is mostly regarding email and Google related services, but even things like Facebook can monitor various aspects of your online activity.
3. Change accounts to those known for privacy
Remember that Google, Gmail, Yahoo!, and other popular services are not your only choices. There are tons of other search engines, email services, and online storage companies that respect your privacy. You can bet that the bigger a company is, the more it can throw its weight around. No disrespect to Google and Facebook - what they're doing for the internet industry is amazing. Even so, they have had many problems regarding abuse of users data in the past.
3. Use anonymous software
Virtual private networks are designed to help you become anonymous online. Even with all the above steps, you're still using your original phone identity, your original IP address, and all of your online activity can be traced back to these credentials.
VPNs encrypt your data to prevent hacking, but they also tunnel and disguise your data so it looks like it's originating from another location. By connecting to a private network of VPN servers, your real identity is hidden behind a mask. You are assigned a virtual IP address from a location of your choice, and websites/other users will think that this is your real identity. To connect to a VPN you'll need VPN software from a VPN service provider. No extra hardware is needed.
Notes
Even then, should there arise issues regarding your online activity, a VPN service will keep time stamps that can be traced back to you. Though a VPN service won't keep logs of your activity, there needs to be a system in place to find and get rid of abusive users on the network.
For this reason, I mentioned earlier that it's virtually impossible to achieve true anonymity online. It's my own personal opinion however, that if you really need to be so anonymous, maybe you shouldn't be using the internet, or you need to rethink what you're doing online.
