However, you can learn best only, if you get trained from a good flight school. After all, you are going to invest your great amount of money and time both in this course. Hence, it is mandatory to do proper research on the aviation schools and training courses.
Begin with the Thorough Research:
To start the searching process, you should be known from the types of such schools. They are categorized into two- FAA part 61 and FAA part 141. Both are bound to provide you the training required by Federal Aviation Regulation. The main difference in both is how the training is being provided by the schools. You are free to select any of the academies, according to the training environment suits best to you.
The part 61 can give you the flexibility of scheduling the training program, as per your convenience. In this type of training program, the instructor is approved from FAA to provide training, but it is not compulsory that he or she will be the full-time employee of a flight training school. He could be the part-time instructor in a flying school or can train independently.
On the other side, part 141 institutes follow a structured program for training and the instructors must be associated with the FAA approved academy to provide training. Schools under part 141 will have to go through regular audits, conducted by the FAA, and, will have to fulfill minimum pass requirement for practical exams.
Gather Details about Instructors:
Find out the information about the instructor as well. Only a good and experienced instructor can teach you how to fly excellently. You should also ask questions to the instructor about his profile. Does he provide training part-time or full-time? A full-time trainer can best teach you, and can give you proper time, as per your convenience. So, try to choose an instructor who is working in the school for full-time.
How many Aircrafts the Institute has?
You should also ask for the availability of aircrafts in a school where you are joining for the flight training. This can assure you that unavailability of aircrafts will not arrive in front of you. The good number of aircrafts can help you in completing your training course on time. Your training sessions can also be scheduled accordingly without any inconvenience.
If you have done with all the research and ready to follow above mentioned steps, then do not forget to check the review online for an aviation school from genuine sites, before making any final decision. You can also read the school’s testimonial to find out the authenticity in the training courses.
