Jonathan And Andi Goldman Release Chakra Frequencies:tantra Of Sound

Well-known muscician, composer, chant master Jonathan Goldman and his wife, psychotherapist Andi Goldman's most recent collaborative effort, Chakra Frequencies: Tantra of Sound, is an instructive guide combining ancient spiritual practices with contemporary healing techniques. Described by the authors as a "vehicle for self awareness...and an exciting paradigm for raising consciuousness," Chakra Frequencies: Tantra of Sound, provides information, techniques, and materials (including a 60-minute insructional CD) for developing a spiritual practice using the body's energy vortices (chakras) and the tonal vibrations (voacalized sound) to enhance health and well being and to accelerate awareness through individual evolution and greater interconnectedness to all that is.

The Goldmans' new book helps demystify and simplify meditative practices involving chakras and mantras. By clarifying the meaning of the language of meditation, Sanskrit. Tantra is a concept devrived from the Sanskrit word tattva (meaning the science of cosmic principles) and by mantra (the sceince of vibration). Chakra Frequencies: Tantra of Sound includes chapters on the basic principles of the tantra of sound, basic practices of breath, toning, and sacred language and words (mantras), and a chapter on improving relationships by developing a practice with a partner.

A final chapter also includes an number of other applications (toning to ease emotional turmoil, the use of tones and music in healing, dealing with overtones and centering, and use of chakras, mantras, and tantric principles for assisting in planetary spiritual evolution. The book's appendices provide a wealth of excellent informatiion and resources regarding tools, music, books, videos, and other sources to enhance one's tantric meditation practice. Each chapter provides exercises to allow the reader to practice and experience what the authors are presenting.

In introducing the Basic Principles in Chakra Frequencies: Tantra of Sound, the authors provide a simple and clear explanation of what Tantra is, of the vibrational body, and of the importance of the power of our personal and collective intention. By simplifying some very complex concepts like wave theory, resonance, Cymatics, and brain wave theory, the authors lay the groundwork for a sound, demystified practice of meditation. The authors also describe numerous energetic systems that our bodies are composed of, as they provide ways to experiment with the body's own subtle energy. Included in this chapter is an excellent explanation of the chakra system.

The authors clarify, explain, and attempt to connect the reader with the interconnectedness of their individual being and with their connection to the universe in which they live. Jonathan Goldman's understanding that not only sound frequency is important in meditation practice but also the practitioner's intent is crucial to the outcome of meditation.

Chakra Frequencies: Tantra of Sound, introduces meditative practices including diaphragmatic breathing, toning, and explanations of seed sounds (sounds used in vocalizing mantras like Om or Ah). One main purpose of this book is to introduce practitioners to a more in-depth understanding and practice with the use of chakras and sound in the meditation. Chapter 6 on sacred vowels, helps link and practitioners with the use of sacred sounds like chants mantras, with meditation practices using the chakras of the body.

The Goldman's honor the sacred element of sound, chakras, and mantras. They introduce Bija Mantras (mantras of power) used in the Hindu tradition. “Everything in the 1st vibrates on specific wavelengths. These wavelengths can be manipulated. For example when it pages created high enough, a violin can shatter class. The various mantras, although equally efficient, vibrate on different wavelengths” (Swami Vishnu Devananda). Since many Western practitioners are not familiar with Sanskrit, the Goldmans focus on proper pronunciation and translation interpretation of terms goes a long way to demystifying the invitation practices. It also provides a deeper and more credible understanding for practitioners of meditation.

The CD that comes with the book, provides 16 min Of instruction and examples for proper pronunciation and practice of the beach mantras and seed vowels. Chakra Frequencies: Tantra of Sound, complements and deepens the earlier chakra and chant music of Jonathan Goldman. Andi Goldman's sound understanding of Psychotherapeutic practice also enhances this book.
