With all the craziness in this world some times we need a little comedy.

This older black and white movie was just what I needed.

It started with Eve (1941) before I was born - its a shame they don't make movies so simple like that any more - or rarely.

The plot is simple enough, a rich father is dying, the son shows up at the fathers death bed and wants to see his future sons wife, well he is engaged but when he goes back to the hotel to find her - she and her mother can't be found. In desperation he finds a gal to see his father and pays her fifty dollars!

The father loves the gal, but she is not the sons fiancee - this other woman is introduced as Gloria - the sons fiancee - but he doesn't even know her name - hes just trying to get his dad to feel better and he does get better, the father wants to see her again the next morning or day.

But the real fiancee and her mother - are still at the hotel -

The other gal plays for the dying father and he loves her music and singing - etc.

So the father tells her to play for them on the coming Saturday - where important people will be, there from the stage and opera etc. many other socialites - the gal loves it she will be able to start her singing career!

She starts to fall in love with the son, and the son starts to fall in love with her, but what about the fiancee and mother? You will just have to see the movie.

There are some twists and turns you'll lough out loud and slap you knee.

Its a great fun - the old man is no bodies fool either -

Simple plots are better than complicated ones.
