Leadership Styles

Hello and Good day -

I'm not expert in leadership styles and achievements - but - what a difference - different leaders can make with different teams - both can get the job done but the results will vary on who is involved with each leader.

I want to state from the beginning that personalities and leadership styles vary a lot and some people work better with different leaders - ( not only their styles but their personalities and approaches to their problems - and their problem solving solutions etc. I'm just give you two - brief examples -

These two men were the same level of religious leadership - over ( almost ) the same congregations.

Their approach and their councilors were different - their personalities were different.

There assignments were the same!

The first ( mister A ) one was a little older than ( Mister B ) and was a doctor - he had a busy job about 60 hours a week.

The second one was ( Mister B ) was a little younger but he had two jobs, and I assume about the same hours on his two jobs - 60 hours a week - ( Maybe a little less )

The point is both of these men were vary busy men!

Mister A - could not always be there because of his work schedule and that affected results -

Mister A - didn't always use me - as much as mister B but that was because of personalities etc.

Both of them got results, and followed up on assignments, delegated etc.

Mister B used me more, and challenged me more, and expected more of me, He was better with details and follow up - Mister B also had an adviser that was vary aggressive and detail orientated - which for me - left me with more assignments and things to follow up on -

Again both men achieved great results, and both affected different people - the latter was my favorite because he tried to bring the best in and others - by his assigned tasks! There was obvious love for individuals in both of these leaders, but the way they assigned and chose assignments - was different and I think the results were different.

Was one better than the other? No -

Their styles were different and so were their personalities.

When we lead, we need to get into the details of the assignment, as least be fully aware of them and when we assign some one - we fully expect them to follow through and be accountable for what they do.

But you need to do it according to the individuals abilities and strengths - using the right assignments with the right people - pushing them to move forward - thus helping them progress and become better at what they do - this love - this concern - is whats missing in the business world - so often - the boss just wants results and could care less about the individual - which is simply - wrong - in my view!

In my mind, people who love you and lead you to move upward are respected a whole lot more - than those that give you tough assignments and care less about you - just the results you do etc. So when you do make a mistake - you are corrected and learn from it - and not just fired or left out on your own -

This world had never need better leaders - today! Great leaders can really aspire others. They also help bring out the best - in others - as they lead and love others - its almost impossible to find this like of leader - today!

There are some of them - out there, but they are few and far between.

PS - What leaders do you personally admirer and why?

How have they helped you - become better?

How has this influenced you, to lead better, and do the same for others?
