Whether you have seen it or not, Truly Rich Club had observed that every successful businesses which started small and irrespective of what kind, have one thing in common: their owners have a successful relationship with their consumers along with their suppliers. This may also be your fuel that feeds the prosperity of your business or even your career.
Communication is the key in building a relationship. We advise you that before you open your mouth, be prepared to listen first. Communication is sharing of your experience. While you share your views and beliefs, allow others to share with you their thoughts, too. Improve the silence first before talking. But there are issues you have to consider while listening:
Have an open mind - in spite of the person’s values and beliefs, don't prejudge. It is healthy to know his point of views in accordance with his beliefs. You will gain knowledge just by listening to a friend or a stranger’s side of the coin.
Have an open heart - if you are sincere and honest, your friend knows it. If you're truthful to a person you only met, he will also know through your responses. Be frank but gentle on sharing your beliefs and opinion on his situation.
Give respect - respect whatever final decision your friend has declared. You could have by far the most brilliant ideas, but he always gets the final say. Ideologies may also differ but understand that you were born and raised in a different setting. When you desire to receive respect, give respect.
Pay attention - you don’t just listen, you concentrate. Your friends will notice if you do not give your full attention to them while they're expressing their sadness. Whenever they will ask your opinion and you overlooked some extremely important details, they will feel frustrated or simply lose their trust on you.
Affirm positively - negative words or thoughts create negative feelings. If you find yourself full of negative vibes, nobody would wish to be around you. This is not an effective way of making a relationship.
It is not who is speaking but what is being said - know the problem. Don't let your beliefs and your indifference with the person affect your interpretation of the situation. Focus on the problem itself. You have to help regardless of whether you like the person or not. Don't let yourself be bias. Here's how you build lasting relationship. Love the unlovable.
Communication builds better relationship and creates an optimistic environment. Truly Rich Club recommends you try it in your family. Find opportunities where everyone seems to be seated together in one table. Encourage positive discussions and give praises. Help your friends unconditionally, whether you feel good or not. Do them favors and surely they'll do the same for you. When you are at work, speak well of everybody. Praise them every day and they will feel comfortable with you. You’ll never know if the person is down and you made him feel uplifted. Pat a back for a job well done. All of these things have a lasting consequences and it will get back to you a hundred fold. Mother Teresa once said, “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”
