There have been many times when we have all felt down about something at some point in our lives. This feeling isn't very pleasant either as we all know. There are many reasons why you can feel this way. Things may not be going your way in life. Some can feel this way because they didn't get a date with the handsome man or woman they had their eye on for some time. This can be very disappointing. Another reason may be that you didn't get the job promotion you were wishing for or you have lost something very close to your heart such as a loved one.
When you feel this way, this can lead to depression. This can also interfere with you achieving what ever it is you are trying to achieve. When you are depressed, it makes you not want to do anything but linger around the house and think negative thoughts. When this happens, nothing gets done at all and then you will feel even more down. Some people will turn to comfort foods to make them feel better like sweets, donuts, cake, ice cream, pie or what ever helps you feel better. This is only a temporary fix as you end up gaining weight and for some, this will bring them more down and depressed.
Some ways to help you feel better may be: Take a shower and clean up as this will refresh you for the day. Start your day with a prayer every day and think positive thoughts. Eat a nutritious breakfast as this will give you energy to get you going for the day. Make a to do list for the day, many feel overwhelmed by their work load. You may want to break it down into smaller tasks. Once you complete one task, you will feel better by making some progress with your work. Another thing you can do when feeling down is to listen to some music that you enjoy that is uplifting. Lastly, get some exercise everyday by going for a walk as your brain will produce endorphins that make you feel good.
We all have experienced feeling down at some point, there are things we can do to make ourselves feel better. Feeling down isn't going to last forever even though at times it may seem like it. Smile and think positive thoughts and see your feeling change for the better. When out and about, just say hello to someone you don't know, this can change their mood and your mood instantly.
