There are many factors that lead to the road of success. But 2 critical success factors examples are faith and self-belief. In this article, I will discuss why these 2 critical factors constitute the cornerstones of success and why we should pay a special attention to them.
As most people will tell you, it's relatively easy to set goals but very often we have a hard time achieving them. There are numerous reasons, both external and internal to ourselves. Obstacles will always be there to test our resolve, we must keep that in mind. But the obstacles that are the hardest to overcome are the internal ones. Procrastination, self-doubt, even self-sabotage are the stones that block our way and that we must step over.
There are 2 critical success factors that must be in place if we want to achieve success: faith and self-belief. Why are they seen as critical to success?
Most of the time when we set our goals, we forget one element: our subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is the internal repository of all those thoughts and beliefs that we are not aware of. The limiting beliefs, the doubts that make us procrastinate or undermine ourselves. We must have a tool that will assist us in fighting those undermining thoughts, beliefs and attitudes.
Faith is a very strong emotion that affects the subconscious mind tremendously. If you set yourself up to do something and then lack the faith to complete it, you are in fact subconsciously accepting that defeat is inevitable. On the other hand, even if you have some doubts at the beginning but a strong faith nevertheless, the battle is half won at the start.
The other factor in this equation that goes hand in hand with faith is self-belief. Both critical success factors examples, faith and self-belief have a circular relationship in that they reinforce each other. If you work at convincing yourself both consciously and subconsciously that you can achieve a specific goal, your efforts will assist you in reaffirming your self-belief and strengthen your faith at the same time.
It's not surprising then that one of the causes of a lack of faith is low self-confidence. Like I mentioned earlier, by making efforts and working 1) consciously on your thoughts, beliefs and your attitudes toward your goals and 2) on your subconscious through the daily repetition of positive affirmations to boost your self-esteem and self-confidence, you will be able to strengthen both your self-belief and your faith. When those 2 critical success factors examples are in place you become practically invincible.
