Make Resolutions For The New Year

Do you have any resolutions for the new year? Many people make resolutions every year. They make a list of their resolutions and post the list where they can see it. That way, they can live each day keeping their resolutions in mind.

One common resolution is to lose weight. People want to be healthy. They want to live longer. They want to look and feel better. Many also want to be able to wear a swimsuit without embarrassing themselves. Since they are resolving to lose weight, they will likely post their resolution list on the refrigerator to remind them to avoid mindless eating and to make healthy choices when they do snack. By avoiding mindless snacking, they will eat only when they are hungry, not when they are nervous or bored.

Another common resolution is to find a job. People who have been out of work are tired of worrying that their utilities might get turned off. In order to change their situation, they begin a job search. Many people who are seriously looking for a job treat their job search like a full-time job. They get up early, shower, and have breakfast. At 9:00 a.m., they are logging on to a job search site to begin putting in online applications. They do one application after another, take a break for lunch, and then continue putting in applications after lunch until 5 p.m., when most people would call it a day and begin their evening. At that point, they would relax. If they stayed online, it would be to do things that they enjoy, such as playing various online games, watchng videos on YouTube, or talking to people on the social networks.

People who earn a living by publishing articles online may resolve to publish at least one article each day, for instance. Publishing one article a day is a realistic goal and allows the person time to take care of unexpected things that come up, such as going to the grocery store to replace household items and spending time with friends and family.

Students commonly resolve to get better grades. They may be trying for scholarships, or they may have a strong desire to appear on their college Dean's List. Student athletes may resolve to perform better in their sports or work better with their teammates. Teachers may resolve to get papers and tests graded faster to allow more time for themselves and their families.

Resolutions are a great way to stay focused on your goals. However, when making resolutions, try to be realistic. Do not resolve to lose twenty pounds in one week, for instance. It would be dangerous to lose that much weight that fast. Instead, try to lose five pounds in two weeks. By exercising and eating right, this is a realistic goal. If you publish articles online, try to publish at least one article a day. You can increase your earnings faster if you publish every day rather than every week or less often. By increasing your earnings faster, you can pursue your dreams sooner.
