It wasn’t too long ago until I started making a living doing something I enjoy. I’ve done so many different things in my life without a thought on what I actually wanted to do. I remember back in Junior High, I was asked what I wanted to be doing five years from then and I couldn’t even think of anything I liked to do. I ended up joining the United States Army so I can make something of myself. I did two deployments overseas and I’ve learned more in the four years I was in the service than I probably will ever learn in the rest of my life. I learned to appreciate the little things in life and loved doing my job (infantry) while I was in. Although I loved my job, I knew there was more for me out there. I knew there were better opportunities as well. I just wouldn’t settle for that lifestyle, I knew what potential I had in store for me.
Wanting a Family of My Own
Although I loved serving my country and loved my single life, I wanted a family more than anything in the world. I knew that if I stayed in the Army I wouldn’t have time for my family. I ended up getting out of the military and moving back home. I needed a job so I ended up working for a retirement fund as a messenger clerk. I loved that job too, which couldn’t be any easier especially coming from being deployed most of the time I was in the Army. Along with this new job came the want for something better.
My Drive for Something Bigger and Better
With the want for a family of my own came my precious baby boy. It was one of the best days of my life. Upon the arrival of my son came a total change in my life. I quit smoking cigarettes and my little single life would come to an end. All I wanted was to provide and be the best dad I could for my son. I don’t know what it was about this kid but he made me do a lot of things I never thought I would do. Working at the current job I was at just wouldn’t do what I wanted for my family and I.
Exploring my Options
My research for making a living doing something I enjoy would begin because of my desire for something bigger and better. I came across this infomercial, which would change my life forever. Yes I was very skeptical but I figured $50 would be worth a shot whether it worked or not. I’ll admit, in the beginning I wasn’t getting anywhere but like I said, there was this want that kept me going. I didn’t give up and the rewards were amazing. A little advice, do something you enjoy while making the living you want. Don’t settle for average, get above and average and find the lifestyle that you want.
