Life will bring you countless circumstances when you'll ask yourself - why is it like this right now? It is common that we immediately point fingers at the first source of such situation, which may not be the original reason. It's easier to blame others, or a situation itself, than to blame one's self. We all have our goals and objectives, and eventual work towards their achievement. The issue happens when our expectations aren't met.
This article presents a theory saying; What you're ok with is what you get.
If you're not resistant toward certain situation and not doing everything possible to avoid it's happening, there a strong possibility exactly that will happen. Along with a theory of visualization, where you attract things in your life with directed thoughts, this theory goes hand in hand, because you're allowing things you're not uncomfortably enought with to happen. It's like, if you're standing on burning ember, and don't find it unpleasant, you won't move from it. There are even some thought strength trainings that involve such actions. What we're trying to emphasize here is, if you want to avoid the burns you might get from standing on burning ember, you'll do everything possible to avoid that happening. You might even take a bucket of water to pour onto the ember in case you end up on it anyway. You look for all types of prevention. You look for all types of solutions to do when in an unwanted situation.
Think of what you want to happen, and what you don't want to happen. The focus of thought can be of any nature. It can be related to your health, fitness, business, financials... It's really important that you define it in as much detail as possible.
For example, let's say you want to loose 5 pounds of body weight. Will you be ok with everything else, but with actually loosing 5 pounds of your body weight? What if you loose 4 pounds, or not loose anything - will you be ok with that? If you will be ok with that, there's a strong possibility that it actually happens. It's about creating a positive self-pressure. If you're persistent and decisive enough that you'll do whatever it takes to loose those 5 pounds, you'll be equally persistent and decisive to prevent every other option from happening.
Think of what makes something happen, and think of what makes something not to happen, while thinking of your influence potential. Of course, some things are left 'in hands of God', but many of them depend solely on us. Sometimes we use term of 'destiny' as the excuse, instead of as the drive.
Here's a list of some terms that may invoke important thoughts for you;
- dedication
- effort
- decision
- persistence
- strength
- action
- improvement
- accuracy
- benefit
- growth
- value
- future-oriented
All of these terms may cause thoughts that will guide you on how you should make your choices. They'll make sure that what you're ok with is always great and above standard. They'll help you go through when times get tough. It will take a lot of dedication, effort, decision, and all the other virtues to make things that you honestly want happen. This simple principle can be applied to anything, but it's important that you're fully aware of it. That's the challenge of life.
