Love Your Liver – Feed it Milk Thistle

Ya, Franz Here! I had a chance to have a chat with Mr. Liver, and he had some major concerns about the way people are treating him, and all his friends these days. He was concerned that if people don’t start taking care of them that the liver population will be in big danger of extinction. He said right now there is more demand for his kind than there are livers to go around because so many are dying. He said if we don’t start showing him “the love” that things were going to get bad. So I wanted to pass along my conversation with Mr. Liver and also pass along his request to love your liver!

I asked Mr. liver what exactly does he do all day? He said that he is our top weapon against toxic exposure. Just as he is able to help you avoid a hangover on the occasional binges of alcohol, Mr. Liver removes or neutralizes toxins from your blood. Your liver is the filter for your blood just like an engines filter cleans the life blood of the automobile engine, the oil. If either is not doing their job then there is trouble for both the engine and the body. Mr. Liver also provides another valuable function; he boosts the immune system and protects the body from viruses and bacterial infection. Mr. Liver is able to produce its own proteins to regulate blood clotting while manufacturing bile to aid in fat absorption and also that of fat-soluble vitamins. You can survive days without food and water, but not even one day without Mr. Liver.

So I asked Mr. Liver what exactly has been attacking him lately and he had lots to say. “I have a big job cleaning a person’s blood. Yuk, the stuff that’s coming through me these days! There are so many man-made poisons that my grandparents did not have to deal with. For example, there’s triclosan that is in a lot of household products: toothpastes, soaps, and lotions. It’s in hundreds of these items that people are using. This stuff grows tumors on me.” He seemed very upset about the whole matter so I asked him what we could do to lover your liver more? He said the best way to show him the love would be avoid these, and many other household toxins, and choose natural and organic products instead. These are available at natural grocery stores and online. He also added, “I’d sure like to see more water coming through. The blood coming through these days is so thick because everyone is so dehydrated from not drinking enough water.” Mr. Liver told me he enjoyed my article on “The Benefits of Water!”

This was such great information that Mr. Liver shared with me! I had no idea how bad he felt about the way he and his whole kind are being treated. He said if more people read the labels of the products they use they might figure some of this stuff out. Then I asked Mr. Liver if there was anything we could do to help him do his job better, and to stay healthy. Mr. Liver responded very strongly, “I need more Milk Thistle (silymarin, an herbal remedy) passing through me!” Milk Thistle has been used for hundreds of years to treat chronic liver disease before the big pharmaceutical drug companies came on the scene. It wasn’t until about forty years ago that Milk Thistle was recognized as a natural way to protect Mr. Liver and aid in eliminating toxic chemicals out of the body. This natural detox cure has proven to be beneficial in protecting us from environmental toxins and prescription drug side effects. Mr. Liver said it’s a great way to love your liver.

Mr. Liver went on to tell me that, “you can buy Milk Thistle for me at either Walgreens or Wal-Mart. They carry either there own brands or Spring Valley brand, and they both work well to protect me from all the toxins I have to deal with. You can take it a couple of times a day, up to 1000mg, especially if you enjoy alcohol. When that comes through I have to work harder to keep you from being poisoned.” I thanked Mr. Liver for sharing this helpful information and promised I would pass it on to the world to “love your liver.” So next time you are in either Walgreens or Wal-Mart, pick up some Milk Thistle and use this natural detox cure every day!

As always, I wish you vibrant health, many blessings, and a long life!

Ya, zis is Franz signing off!
