3 Things You Should Know About Jagua Gel

Jagua Gel is still a relatively new form of body art in the Western part of the world, so it is not surprising that most people are unfamiliar with this otherwise ancient practice. There isn't a whole lot of information on these products out there right now, which is why many people have a hard time figuring out if it is something that should buy or not.

There are three things that anyone who plans on getting a temporary Jagua Gel tattoo need to know before applying the gel used to create these beautiful markings:

1. The Jagua, or Genipa, fruit is typically grown in South America and can be found in abundance growing in warm climates and rainforest type atmospheres. While it is used widely for body decorating, it has also been used for centuries for medicinal purposes amongst the many tribes inhabiting South America. Chances are people will come up with even more uses it for in the future.

2. While often being compared to another form of temporary body tattoo, Henna, the Jagua Gel not only differs in the amount of time the tattoo remains on the skin, but also in the color that it creates. The Henna tattoos tend to come out in a brown or reddish color while the Jagua tattoo is revealed as black or a dark blue color. Thankfully, because the color comes out darker with this type of tattoo, the details in the design will not fade as quickly as they tend to do with Henna tattoo products. This is a good way to save time and money on having to reapply the gel once every few days as opposed to every couple of weeks.

3. As this form of temporary tattooing grows in popularity, there will be more and more companies manufacturing Jagua Gel products in the United States. For now, though, there are only a handful of online companies based out of the US that offer these products because the FDA has yet to approve Jagua for coloring use. This should be resolved soon, though, because Jagua Gel is made from fruit juices and and is not thought to cause any issues with people's skin.

No matter what time of the year it is, having a Jagua tattoo will certainly make anyone stand out in the crowd because it is both a unique look and it goes with so many different styles of clothing. You can feel comfortable knowing that whatever beautiful design you use on your body, it will come out crystal clear and will not fade from your skin for one or two weeks.

This new craze is catching on quickly in many countries and it will not be long before most teenagers and young adults are seen sporting one of these new types of body art. It is a safe and fun way to show your individuality without going through the painstaking and permanent process of getting an actual tattoo and it will not cost you an arm and a leg to purchase one, either.
