How You Should Use Online Job Portals And Find Executive Jobs

Online job portals are a great place to find your dream job. Every week recruiters post dozens of executive jobs in these portals and you should start sending applications to fulfill your career goals. Here is a brief guideline that will help you utilize the job portals properly.

1. Email ID and Phone Number Is a Must - First of all, you must create a profile in online job portals. The profile creation process is pretty simple, but you must give your email ID and phone number to get interview letters and phone calls from recruiters.

2. Select a Reputed Job Portal- When recruiters look for employees; they consider total number of candidate profiles and the service charge of a job portal. There are so many job portals in the market, but companies find professionals from the most reputed job portals. Therefore, you should select at lest two top ranking job portals and sign up to increase your chances of getting a good job.

3. Profile Creation Guidelines

Attach Your Resume in Word Format- When HR officials search for job seekers, they download the suitable candidates’ resume, read it and then start calling the best candidates. Therefore, you must upload your resume in Word format so that your employers can easily view it in any computer.

Your Job Profile and Resume Content Must Match- Never provide any wrong information in your job profile or resume. For instance, if you have written “MBA in marketing” in your profile, then your resume content must support your educational information. Give name of the institution, year of graduation etc. to prove your expertise.

Don’t Give Falls Contact Number- When you give your phone number in job portals, unnecessary interview calls may disturb you, but you have to tolerate those calls. If you give falls contact number to avoid unimportant calls, you may miss a great job.

Don’t Leave the “Current Salary” Blank- When recruiters search for a candidate, they often give a particular salary range to sort out the eligible candidates. If you leave the “current salary” blank, then your name will never appear in their search results.

Avoid Irrelevant Key Skills- You may have knowledge in web designing, but when you are searching for an executive job, there is no need to highlight your website designing skills.

4. Start Searching Jobs- If you have a really good profile, then companies will soon start calling you. However, you can also visit the job portals once in a week and start applying for the jobs.

5. Job Applying Guidelines- Type the keywords with better search competencies to find out lucrative vacancies. Once you find some good openings, read the criteria of each vacancy carefully and hit the “apply” button.

Online job portals allow you to search and apply for a job from your home. Follow the aforementioned guidelines strictly and you will soon find a high salary executive job.
