Accomplish More With Less Rush - Time Management For Better Times

Time management really should come down to this: The better you use your time, the better time you have.

If you are rushing to get things done "on time" you are not having a very good time. You feel stressed, overwhelmed, insecure and out of control. Many people confuse this with true time efficiency.

The more efficiently you use time, the higher your level of personal productivity.

But time loses its meaning, its value, when you push yourself so hard that you push your peace, love, and joy out of this moment.

Think about how masters in any field perform. One who has mastered the art of dance, for instance, demonstrates ease and joy, creating beauty, expressing love, experiencing ecstatic states of inspiration. There is no evidence of rush in true mastery.

To master your time means to eliminate rush to create something of timeless value of this moment.

All too often time management seminars overlook the essential importance of the quality of our time.

When this factor is left out, no matter how much you accomplish, your success delivers no satisfaction. Real time management needs to center on fulfillment in the present.

3 Time Management Tips:

1. To experience true fulfillment in the present moment involves trusting that whatever is happening right now is just right.

2. Remember that to make the most of your time focus on making all you want this moment to be

3. To increase your quality time, pay closer attention to how you are impacting the quality of your experience of this moment.

If you are pushing yourself so hard to make the most of your time that you are feeling burned out, stressed out, run-down, and fatigued you are not managing your time well.

If you feel that your life is out of balance, the problem is NOT the demands of your circumstances – it is the imbalanced way you are using your time.

If you feel that you have too much to do, you are misusing your time by worrying too much on what you cannot get to.

You have some ability to control your time. But there are limits to that control. To expand your degree of control over your time, develop your time management skills, including:

  • Learn how to manage interruptions
  • Learn how to handle delay
  • Learn how to deal with distraction
  • Learn how to quickly recover from let-downs

How do you learn these lessons? By employing the most important time management skill of all: paying close attention to your present moment experience.

By observing what you are doing with your time, you will discover better ways to handle your time – you will discover wisdom for having a GREAT time.

Perhaps the most common mistake made when it comes to time, is forgetting that the quality of our time is ALWAYS up to us.

It is NEVER dependent upon your circumstances or other people, but rather, on how you deal with circumstances and other people.

When you accept responsibility for your time, you accept the power to improve your time management.

Perhaps the biggest time waster is grumbling about how someone else is wasting our time.

The time you spend grumbling is what YOU are doing with your time.

Your time is always your own. Others may make demands upon you, but it is up to you to decide upon what you do next, what you do now.

Every moment is an opportunity to put yourself through a time management training by seeking your way into greater success and fulfillment.
