There are a lot of people that do not get the amount of sleep they need each night. Consequently, it is difficult for them to get up early in the morning and they tend to feel sluggish throughout the day. In addition, their thought processes and productivity levels are not at their best, affecting the quality and amount of work done. Physical reactions to their environment or movements required for their work is slower. This sometimes causes issues of safety to them as well as the people around them. Besides being unable to get up early, some people do not seem to feel the effects of a lack of sleep, but the effects are there regardless.
The average adult needs from seven and a half hours to nine hours of sleep per night. A common myth is that getting an hour less of sleep per night will not affect them. Even though the person may not feel sleepy during the day, that lack of one hour can cause other problems than being un able to get up early, like affecting cardiovascular health and compromising your ability to fight infections. Another myth is that getting extra sleep each night cures fatigue in the daytime. What most people do not realize is that it is not always the quantity of sleep but also the quality. Even if you are a heavy sleeper, you may feel tired at different points throughout the day because of poor quality sleep.
Many people are not even aware of the fact that they are sleep deprived. They become so used to the way they feel each day that the thought never occurs to them. Believe it or not, if you can't get up early and you need an alarm clock just to wake up on time or you depend on the snooze button, you may be suffering from sleep deprivation. Other signs include falling asleep in front of the television in the evening while relaxing, needing to nap just to get through your day, and getting drowsy while driving or after a heavy meal. In addition to physical symptoms, sleep deprivation and poor quality sleep can affect you mentally, causing irritability and the inability to concentrate on your daily tasks. You also may feel a lack of motivation to get things done.
So you are doing the right thing and getting the proper quantity of sleep, but how do you improve the quality? One possible way is to adopt some kind of routine and to go to bed on the same time every day. By doing this your body will "study" this schedule and be able to prepare for sleep. After getting used to go to bed on the same time, the next step is to synchronize your awakening time to the sleep cycles. By doing these 2 simple things you will get a dramatic improvement which will make you get more quality sleep and consequently being able to get up early easily and naturally.
If you really want to know how to get up early you need to understand the connection between quality sleep to the difficulty to get up early. Now when we got that, we just need to know how to make our sleep more affective and get more quality sleep.
