My wife and I are renovating our house and we are doing everything ourselves. By everything, I mean everything! We took the rooms back to concrete slab and bare brick walls so we could start from scratch.
I had to make new bathroom cabinets for the main bathroom and for the new ensuite we built as well.
Believe it or not, one of the biggest problems I encountered was clamping. I was using the traditional bar clamps to clamp and glue the main cabinet boxes and doors and although bar clamps worked OK, they made it hard to clean up dripping glue and getting even pressure where it counted was a nightmare. It was a finicky process and frustrating at times and although I hate to admit it, I feel the finished product could have been better had I had better tools.
I solved the problem by buying the Wolfcraft One Hand Ratcheting Band Clamp. It is very easy to use and the corner blocks provided strong even pressure at the corners where it mattered. It had sufficient tightening power to pull the joints together perfectly, everytime. What a bonus this tool was! I bought another one because you are better off with two of them when you are clamping boxes or other wide timber projects.
I also had to make the cabinet doors and this tool was absolutely fantastic for this. When making raised panel doors using the rail & stile technique you must have good even pressure where the rail & stile join and the Wolfcraft One Hand Ratcheting Band Clamp did the job wonderfully. You can turn your work over easily and clean up drips very easily. I also had to make timber frames (like picture frames) for the mirrors and the Wolfcraft One Hand Ratcheting Band Clamps came to the rescue once again!
My wife is a professional photographer and so naturally enough I am now the "Chief" picture frame maker for her best pieces! It's hard to believe that I actually used to do everything the hard way. There are other band clamps on the market and I looked at heaps of them. The Wolfcraft One Hand Ratcheting Band Clamp stood out from the crowd because it seemed excellent value for money at the low asking price and it had fantastic reviews everywhere I looked.
If you are encountering the same problem I highly recommend that you get one or two for yourself. The Wolfcraft One Hand Ratcheting Band Clamp is in my opinion the only way to go!
