If you're looking for an article marketing "How To" guide, I can definitely help you there. I'm an internet marketer and, as such, I use article marketing to pull tons of traffic to my websites every day and I want to show you how you can utilize this tool to do the same.
I know you have some questions you would like to have answered like, "Does article marketing still work?" The short answer is yes but it doesn't work the way it did two years ago. I'm sure you have heard of the Google Panda update but what you may not realize is that spinning articles is no longer an option.
Spinning is considered duplicated content and it will get your site black listed in a hurry. The fact is, people were not spinning articles pre-Panda for the readers; they were doing it for the backlinks. This is another thing Panda addressed. Backlinks are just not a big deal anymore and backlinks to low quality sites will also get you black listed in a hurry.
These days, you need to write one article and publish it on one directory then, if you like, you can hand-write a new article with the same keyword and publish it on another directory but you have to make it unique and different from the first one.
I don't bother with all that jazz though because I'm a Street Articles author. Street Articles follows Google's guidelines to the letter and makes it's writers do the same. As a result, when you publish something on Street Articles, it will often get first page rankings within a few hours of going live.
I don't see a lot of sense in delivering the exact same message written in two different ways. I prefer to take my writing a bit more seriously. When I have a message to deliver, I write a quality article and I deliver that message one time and move on to the next message.
The time I would spend saying the same thing in a different way can be better used creating a brand new unique message to offer people.
If you want to become an article marketer and learn how to drive droves of targeted traffic to your website I recommend using Street Articles as your main article directory.
You may also want to study up on your keyword research skills. Using the right keywords is the difference between success and failure. Your keywords need to have three basic qualifications.
1. There needs to be enough people actually looking for the keyword to bring a steady amount of traffic to your site once you get ranked for it.
2. The keyword has to have a low enough amount of other marketers competing for it so you will actually be able to rank for it.
3. The third thing the keyword needs to have is relevance to your topic.
If you combine these three things, along with an article that is helpful to people, you will see an increase in your traffic flow and conversion.

In a way I am glad I am getting into Internet Marketing now, rather than a few years back. I am like you in that I like to produce quality articles.
Hi Ty, a very clear, concise and well written article on 'article marketing'.
Hello Ty, great article. I would like to ask: what do you define as a quality article? I sometimes find my articles lack in quality though I can come up with a high enough word count easily. My problem is meeting Google's demand for certain standards of content. Would you have advice for an article marketer in this regard?
I would define quality content as any content that is both original and helps the person reading it in some way. Many people make the mistake of writing with the idea of getting ranked in mind, I feel this is backward, what will get you ranked is when a real person reads your content that they connect with it. The amount of time someone spends reading, whether or not they social it and the amount of comments it receives are all very important factors in getting ranked and none of these factors starts with the search engines they start with the readers. Look at it like an IV drip when you publish a new article. What I mean is when you publish something Google will show it to a few people at first and if the reaction from those people is good they will open the IV drip a bit more, if the reaction is still good it gets opened even more until eventually your ranking on page 1. When you write try to imagine how you would explain it to a friend of yours. Take the subject you're dealing with and break it down into easily understandable pieces and explain each piece as if you were sitting across from a friend of yours explaining it. This will allow your personality to come through into your writing. Hope this helps you - Ty
SA does rock...I iget the most readers at SA than all others combined...nice read Ty..
I stopped publishing anywhere else because the results here are just much better.
I really like the way you write your tutorials, Ty, You have a knack for simple, easy to understand writing that even the newest beginners can grasp. I remember, when I first started reading (before I joined WA), anything I could find online about online marketing. Most of the articles I read left me more confused than when I had started.
That makes two of us, which is exactly why I write so that anyone can understand. I have even had people that have been around awhile tell me that after reading some of my work on WA that things really made sense. People in the industry often times forget what it was like to be new and in some cases I think people want to leave you confused for whatever reason.
