What We Can Learn From Spiderman About Generating Traffic

Sometimes, we search and search for answers and a way out. We tend to go so deep that we often overlook the obvious. We miss the bang ‘cause we’re expecting the boom. We don’t see the forest because there are too many trees in the way. Let me remind you that every answer or solution doesn’t have to be a complicated, earth shattering, life altering response. Sometimes, it’s the simplicity in things that is just what we need. Let’s take a look at how we can learn a few simple things for someone you probably know.

Spiderman

Spiderman is an amazing comic and movie cult icon – he uses his brains, spider senses, and is uncompromisingly, wittily lovable. He's also extremely observant concerning any of places he inevitably ends up, paying close attention to the environment around him. He's a villain expert and can read conversational and body language queues with deadly accuracy. He's captivating, and attracts attention wherever he goes (may be because of his super-hero costume), but, somehow he manages to move around pretty much undetected, especially at night, to acquire all the information he needs – addresses, police or company reports or anything else that puts him on the trail of the bad guy.

Qualities

These skills and characteristics can quite easily be applied to building traffic. Moving undetected at night and acquiring information works well on forums – you can acquire an amazing amount of information moving through forums reading answers to questions you didn’t even ask. It’s like hitting the jackpot when you find a thread discussing just what you’re looking for. Having a captivating style can really shine through when writing a blog, and especially if working with others to get backlinks or in link exchanges. Being observant and paying close attention to your environment – learning and understanding your niche, in fact, will work well for you in determining your target market. And, of course, attracting attention is one ability, like that of the Spiderman's, that we all want when it comes to being able to get online (or offline) traffic to our web pages or online offers.

Silver Lining

What Spiderman can teach us about traffic generation is that no matter how tough things may look, there’s always a silver lining lurking somewhere, if you just look for it. This can particularly be applied when it comes to generating traffic. More times than not it seems as if we are unable to attract anyone to our page or offer, and when we do they don’t click through or leave their email for our mailing list. We begin to think of our efforts as a lesson in futility. We quickly forget or just don’t realize the learnings we can take away from those efforts. By analyzing what we did, how we did it, and noting the results we can refine what we do the next time. Yes, a little bang and not the boom.

Traffic Flow

Regardless of what you read in a forum or on a website, one of the most important things you can learn from old Spidey as it concerns traffic generation is that you have to use all of your creativity, sense, knowledge, and daring to keep the traffic flowing. The traffic is there, we know it. Those 2 billion people on the internet are going and landing somewhere. Traffic generation is about knowing and understanding your niche and the people you need to target for that niche. When you apply everything you learned from Spiderman you can improve your SEO rankings, thereby improving your traffic flow.

Spiderman may get what he needs from a lot of different sources, but he never relies on someone else to do his work for him and he always succeeds. I don’t know if you will always succeed. But I do know that if you don’t put the work in, you won’t succeed.
