Speeding is one of the major reasons that cause accidents and by speeding you are not only posing a danger to yourself but to all other people who are out there on the streets. Traffic violations NJ are strictly dealt with and there are very firm laws in place against speeding. Those who are convicted of it are punished and fined heavily. In a nutshell, here is information on the consequence of speeding on NJ and you would do well to comply with the rules.

Speed Limit:

Firstly, to prevent yourself from speeding you have to know what the speed limit is. Or else, you might break the law even without being aware that you are breaking it. The speed limit is different for different area- it is 25 mph near the schools or in other residential districts, 35 mph in business and residential districts of reasonably low density and 50 mph on all other roadways. 55 mph is allowed on certain state highways and 65 mph on certain interstate ones. The speed limit is posted clearly on all the major roads and you should also take care to notice them.

Whether you are driving above the specified speed is easily discernible by the authorities. You might be under the impression that no one is watching you simply because there are no patrol cars around or because there is no booth nearby. However, there are cameras in all the major junctions and the traffic control keeps a bird eye view on the passing vehicles. The offender will be apprehended at the next stop he makes and it is advisable that he or she does not argue but accept the charges and appeal for it later.

Restoration of License:

In case, the driver was speeding excessively and had just about missed an accident, depending on the damages, the license can be revoked or suspended for an indefinite period. To restore the license, the driver first has to pay the fine of hundred dollars which can be paid online or can be paid in person at the Regional Service Center. Once the suspension period is over and you have complied with all the authorities and done the needful, you will get a mail with the Notice of Restoration. However, you will be closely monitored.
