So you are headed to Disney World and you want to stay at one of the Disney resorts and hotels, but you are not sure which one. There is quite a selection to consider and they come in a variety of price ranges. The four categories of resorts at Walt Disney World are the value, moderate, deluxe and deluxe villa, with the deluxe villa resorts being part of the Disney Vacation Club.

The value resorts are your least expensive and they are very family friendly. Starting as low as $80 per night, they are perfect for a family on a budget. The rooms tend to be smaller than your other chooses and more modestly furnished. All of the value resorts have themed pools and food courts that are centrally located. Even with the low prices on the value resorts, you still get the great benefit of Disney transportation to the parks and access to extra magic hours.

The moderate resorts are a step up from the value resorts. They start at $140 per night and the rooms are a little more spacious than the rooms in the value resorts. They also have themed pools, but there pools also include a water slide. This is great if you are there in the hotter months and plan on spending some down time at the hotel. They also include food courts for quick meals, but they have full service restaurants for when you want to have a convenient sit down meal.

Do you want a little bit of luxury with your stay at Disney? Well if you have some extra money to spend, then the deluxe resorts are for you. These resorts start around $220 per night, but they can be cheaper if purchased with a package. The rooms in these resorts are elegant and very spacious. These resorts also have elaborate themed pools, amazing restaurants, fitness centers and spas.

Are you looking for a home away from home? Then the deluxe villa resorts may be what you are looking for. In addition to the great amenities that you would get with the deluxe, you also get a kitchen or kitchenette with these resorts. This may be a good option if you prefer to do more eating in than in restaurants or food courts.

Finding the right resort is an important part of planning a trip to Disney World. In the end, you need to pick the resort that is right for your family. You need to evaluate how much time you are going to spend at your resort. Also, how much of the amenities will your family use? Are the extra amenities worth the extra money to your family?
