I am looking for a new RV. I have been looking at Class A, Class B, and Class B+. All have the vehicle cab and engine attached to the living quarters. They are nice because no matter if you are parked or driving you can use the facilities. You can make a quick lunch while driving (though I am sure that is not a good thing to do while driving.) or go get a sweater etc. But the engine has more parts to go wrong. If something goes wrong, not only is your vehicle out of order, but your home on wheels is also affected. So I thought it would be good to look at Camping Trailers. The ones that pull behind your vehicle.
I was surprised how much cheaper they are then the Class A-B+ type. There are many different floor plans. They allow you to have as many or as few beds as you want. One I saw had a bunk double beds and bunk single beds with a queen size bed in the rear. If that isn't enough the dinette could be used as a bed also.
My husband and I would be traveling alone most of the time, so we would prefer the Queen or King Bed in the rear. (Yes, you saw right, they have king size beds!) With a U shape dinette and a couch. Both make into beds if we are traveling with the kids. The Camping trailers have everything a house would. You can choose the fabric and floor coverings. There are choices of ducted or ceiling air conditioners or no air conditioners at all. There is an outdoor grill and entertainment center with tv if you want to cook outside in luxury. It is fun to just look at all the different kinds of trailers you can purchase.
We have a two year window to look for the perfect camping trailer. While we save money and also look to buy a new vehicle to pull the trailer. It looks like some of the bigger more powerful suvs may be able to pull the trailer. Which would be preferable for the gas mileage is better. Plus my husband doesn't like to drive trucks. So we have a lot of fun looking ahead. So as we put our finances back in order, we are planning to spend the money again. But as I told my husband, what if, like so many people we don't make it to retirement? Wouldn't it be better to have had some fun in life. As they say, you can't take it with you.
