My Journey To Poland And Back

About twenty years ago , I travelled by air between Nassau Bahamas and Poland. As the plane lifted from the earth human call home, we entered a new domain, a place where wing fowls fly and cruise on the air currents of the upper hemisphere. As I looked out of my window I got a complete view of New Providence, It's beautiful homes, hotels and it's turquoise blue waters. Many tourist were just relaxing in the sun, others were playing volleyball, parasailing, and walking on the beach, enjoying themselves, while Bahamians were going about their daily chores driving on our crowded streets.

As we continue to climb to greater heights, I soon lost sight of my lovely paradise. It was not long after, that a stewardess explained the security features of the plane and all eventuality. Shortly afterward they provided us with a beverage, and I relaxed and read a magazine until I felt the plane decent.

As we approach Miami I got a view of their lovely beach and vegetation, but the terrain had changed, Miami is no longer the tropical evergreen large landscape of open land, but a land of developement with asphalt and concrete covered streets that travelled for thousands of miles to other adjourning states.

But Miami is a lovely place, with many exotic hotels and shopping centers, which I enjoy visiting. It was not long afterward that the plane landed, It landed so smoothly most of the passengers did not know we were on the ground.

After de planing, to catch my connecting flight to a country far away, a country of the old world. I noticed that planes appears to have a highway in the sky, the smaller planes are always at the bottom, or fly at a lower height. As the plane strained to increase It's height, you could hear noise coming from It's body as it vibrate under the human and cargo weight that it carried.

As we flew over the ocean, this water was unlike none I have ever seen, it was dark and blue, rough and the only thing that I could see were a few sea birds and a container ship that I saw cruising below.

As we continue our journey, I observed a strange condition, one minute I am enjoying sunshine, and as I look in the distance I saw darkness. I have never seen this phenomenal before, I soon realize, I was viewing the beginning of a new day, and the ending of the other being played out, for me and others to witness. This reminded me of the parting of the Red Sea. No man could do this, this was God's creation.

The Circuitous Journey
