It's about 7:00am and I had just landed in London and is in the process of boarding another plane for Poland. My brief observation of this country basically of the weather, there is no sunny weather and white sandy beaches here. But this country has many historical building, parks and rolling hills and meadows, a beautiful sight for any to see.
After leaving this great colonializer we have finally arrived at the country and the purpose of my trip in the first place. We have arrived at Warsaw the capital, to attend the World Bodybuilding Chamionship. The name of the arena, has faded from my memory over time.
But what I do remember of Poland is the railway and trains that rumbled and whistle as it continued on it journey with passengers to collect or drop of at It's many train stations. And I was able to see modernization and the past seated next to each other.
After the competition, I meet a man selling the most delicious chocolate plum I have ever consumed. After sampling a few I brought ten more, I was convinced this was no ordinary treat, I had to carry some back home with me to my family. So the next day, I went to the arena again, in search of this mysterious snack vendor, but he could not be found, I spoke to the natives, but nobody knew him, or where he went. It's over twenty years now, and I still have that wrapper, this chocolate with a plum is Poland finest.
It time to leave now, and I caught a flight and was now heading to my beloved paradise. I had an isle seat, and a woman and two children had the window and two other seats.
It was about 10:30pm, and the stewardess had just began serving meals and beverages to all passengers. After everybody were served, I along with the passengers next to me took our bathroom break.
About fifteen minutes later most if not all passengers were securing blankets and pillows for a good night rest, and a long ride to the continent we call America.
I had just fallen asleep and the woman next to me gave me a nudge, indicating that she needed to go, I got up and accommodated her, I dare not go back to sleep, because I knew she would return. After she came back, I believed everything would be fine, and I fell off to sleep again.
Twenty minutes later the son nudged me, informing me he had to go, I accommodated him, and waited for him to return. Now I said finally I will get some peace, but this peace that I yearned for will never come.
