Whether looking for a luxurious romantic getaway for 2 or a holiday home to accommodate a large group you will find a variety of luxury upmarket holiday homes in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales Australia.
What do people really want in a luxury holiday home? The first thing that comes to mind is pleasure, aesthetics, quality and comfort.
Yet it is not absolutely essential for me to be surrounded by luxury and expensive furnishings to have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday.
After all it is the people I am with who will dictate how much fun and how fantastic my next holiday will be.
However, I can use a luxury holiday home to impress my friends and without a doubt I will also delight in the sumptuous surroundings.
So apart from the expensive furnishings, whether antiques or modern, an upmarket luxury holiday home will provide its guests the 'special extras' such as each guest being provided with a dressing gown and slippers, as Three Bridges in Leura does.
Hillier House in Blackheath is exquisitely and exotically furnished. It is unique by providing ensuited bedrooms each with expensive fragrant oils. You will also find bowls of fresh fruit in the banquet dining table.
If views are desired Montaintop Villa, a stunning mudbrick home in Katoomba, provides the most outstanding views of the escarpment. Furnishings are custom made from quality timbers. Mountaintop Villa is part of the Bhodi Cottages group. All 3 holiday homes in Katoomba and Wentworth Falls are luxuriously appointed.
Another luxurious home is without a doubt Ellentree House. Established 20 years ago and one of the most successful holiday homes in the Blue Mountains, Ellentree House is the quintessential mountains home. Surrounded by private gardens this weatherboard home is spacious and exotically furnished, offering 3 bathrooms all with spas and a sauna.
Although somewhat rustic Ellentree House can be comfortably placed in the luxury category. It is unique and full of character.
A luxury home will command on average $100 to $150 per person per night, usually with a minimum $600 to $800 per night base fee.
Although luxury holiday accommodation is a smaller market, nevertheless the demand is there with about 5% to 10% being directed to luxury upmarket holiday accommodation.
If wanting to indulge in the experience of a luxury holiday home, and spoil and impress your friends, some of these holiday homes may be available in off peak periods for 15% to 20% less then the usual tariff.
In peak periods, such as Christmas, Easter and the winter months these luxury holiday homes are in high demand and always booked out well in advance.
