How to Build A Web Page - The Four Key Steps

Learning how to build a web page that attracts relevant and targeted traffic involves knowing four key Areas. Keyword research, web page building, content development and search engine optimization.

Building a web page is more than using a smart web builder. To have an effective web page, you also need to know how to do the other 3 vital stages besides knowing how to build a web page.

The first important step is to get a relevant domain name for your website. This calls for keyword research. Keyword research will form the basis of your domain name and web page content. Your domain name is your virtual prime real estate on the internet. It will be your legal title to your website property and can be valuable if you have done proper research.

Ideally, you want a keyword with high searches and low competition. But you need to a use a reliable keyword research tool to get accurate data. The success of your web page will to large extent depend on your keyword research. When, your domain name is also your main keyword, you already have a head start as search engines assumes you own the brand and ranks you high in the search engine result page.

While you may attach your domain name and hosting to the many available free hosting services, it preferable to invest in your own domain. You can buy a domain from many domain selling services available. Armed with your domain and keyword, you are now ready for the second stage.

This is the actual web page building. If you don't know how to build a web page, you need not worry. We now have many web building tools that anybody can use to create attractive and professional looking web pages. And you can build your web page in hours if not in minutes. Most of these web page builders come with easy to follow tutorials including how to install the domain name and hosting.

A good builder should come with a variety of theme templates. So you just select the template theme that most suits your keyword subject. For example, if your subject is on resorts, you can select a holiday theme. Once you have tidied up your web page structure, you move to the third stage.

You need to create quality content. The content should be useful and relevant to the web page visitor. Make sure you put your keyword in the web page title, first paragraph and once or twice in the main body. Don't over stuff your page with keywords as you are writing for your web visitors and not search engines.

The final stage is to optimize your page for the search engines. You need to link your web page to search engine analytics so as to be accessing your web page performance data. A good web page builder should come with search engine optimization plug ins. You also need to fill out a few details of your web page keywords in your admin page and your web page is now ready to go live.

Once your web page is online, let the search engines know of your web page and to link up with other websites and blogs through social bookmarking sites. Then, submit your webpage to search engines through submission services.

You are not finished yet. Write a couple of articles on your keyword and submit to leading article directories to link back to your web page. Building a web page may seem hard at first but it is very easy.
