What could be more fun than a bridal shower? But if you are looking for some inspiration regarding bridal shower gift ideas, well, look no further!

Gift Idea #1: Give the couple an original piece of artwork, but you'll need to pick their brains first and see where their tastes lead (unless you already know). Some great places to find original art are eBay, Red Bubble, and Image Kind. All of which are online, but eBay has the most affordable prices and if you buy direct from the artist that's always better. Plus, if you buy direct from the artist with the stipulation that it's a gift, the couple can exchange it for another piece if they'd like to. The bottom line is that art is a cool gift because it's frequently something that the couple won't buy for themselves.

Gift Idea #2: Give the bridge a gift certificate to have her wedding gown and veil framed in a special shadow box, custome frame from a professional framing store. It's one of those things that the bridge will probably not get around to, but wish she had.

Gift Idea #3: A gift basket FILLED with Body Shop products, and oh my gosh, there is so much to choose from. Plus if the bride-to-be wants to, she can exchange for other scents she likes better. Simply put a little tissue paper in the bottom of the basket and lovingly arrange the cornucopia of selection. Throw in some pretty wash clothes and hand towels, trim the basket handle with ribbon and some flowers, and VOILA!

Gift Idea #4: If the couple are the romantic type, you could fill a gift basket with a bottle of fine wine or liquor, a CD that has romantic music, candles, candle holders, a skimpy piece of lingerie, and some silk flowers. Finish the basket with ribbon, but before you do, you might want to pull a piece of colored cellophane up around the whole basket before tying it off and decorating it with the ribbon. That way the contents will have a BIG REVEAL!!

Gift Idea #5: If the couple has kids, give them a coupon book offering FREE baby sitting services for one year. Put the coupon book in a gift basket and fill the basket with a few things for the kids (diapers, sippy cups, books, small toys, anything age appropriate). People love it if you think of their kids too, it really speaks to their heart, so that's why I suggest putting some things in for the kids. To top it off add in one gift certificate for a restaurant and one movie gift certificate.

Gift Idea #6: Candy and food gift basket--fill it to the brim with all the goodies that you know the couple loves and weave some kitchen towels in for color and buffer between anything that is glass. Maybe even toss in some colorful melmac candy bowls!

Gift Idea #7: If the couple loves to cook, give them a gift basket filled with spices, utensils, and other fun kitchen items. Place some well appointed tea towels around the spices as buffer so there's no breakage, and maybe even throw in a grocery store certificate so they can buy some steaks. Again, don't forget to pull colored cellophane paper up around it and tie it off with decorative ribbon and perhaps even a great recipe!

I guess by now you know that I am a big lover of gift baskets, and I can tell you from experience that people LOVE getting them; and all the more so when you combine gift cards with gift baskets. THAT is a totally winning combination! So whether you need bridal shower gift ideas, or gift ideas for some other occasion, don't forget to consider the blessing that a gift basket can be. Just tap into the personalities and likes of the bride and groom-to-be and get wildly creative.
