Summer is one of the greatest times to have a wedding. With the sunny skies, longer days and the good weather, the timing is perfect to celebrate the union of two souls and conduct private gatherings outdoors.
Thinking of having an outdoor wedding this season? Here are some tips to help you plan the occasion.
1. On garden weddings and decorations. Take advantage of the beautiful sceneries that only summertime can provide. For instance, choosing a setting like Paco Park Garden for example, provides romantic backdrops such sweet smelling flowers and luscious trees to hang string lights and lanterns on which make the decoration process easier and more manageable.
2. On beach weddings and noise management. If you are choosing a beach venue, make sure that the location is private to avoid unnecessary interruptions from crowds of people. Consider the breeze and the winds as well. Have your hair styled in a way that you will still look pretty even in a windy day. Find a sound system that can work well above the noise that usually comes along with such environment.
3. On food. Hire a caterer in the Philippines that is well-experienced in preparing menus ideal for outdoor occasions. The set of food should complement with the season and they should likewise be properly protected like having a netted canopy to cover the dessert table. Have an ice cream cart installed near the buffet too during the reception.
4. On weather conditions and pest control. Always have a backup plan in case something goes wrong. The forecast may have reported that it will be sunny from morning until nighttime but then, always create an option where the whole event will not be compromised should there be unexpected rains in the middle of it. Perhaps you can have the ceremony outside and then the reception inside a compound. On the same note, ensure that the location is free from any type of insects such as flies and mosquitoes. Setup candles and use scented sprays to drive them away.
5. On guests and favors. Have the summer essentials ready for the attendees. This includes ice-cold bottled water next to the seats and having towelettes and insect repellants or sunscreens available on anyone’s request. For souvenir ideas, ideal memorabilia may range from handheld fan and parasol to hanky, pair of flip-flops and sunglass.
