Wedding Party Gift Guide

In this wedding party gift guide we offer tips and suggestions for that perfect gift. It is traditional for the bride to give a gift to her bridesmaids and the groom a gift to his groomsmen. A small token of thanks for the time, energy and support they've given you during the wedding planning and the day of the wedding. The gifts are usually presented to the bridal party sometime before the wedding. Timing of this gift giving is largely personal preference - whatever works out best for the wedding schedule. This could be during the rehearsal dinner, during the bachelor or bachelorette party or the morning of the wedding as everyone is getting ready. In this guide, we'll address gifts for the bridesmaids.

Wedding Party Gift Guide Idea #1 - Complete the Outfit

A more traditional gift is one that will help complement or complete the bridesmaids outfit on the day of the wedding. This is typically jewelry - a necklace, earrings or bracelet. This gift works well if you want all your bridesmaids to be decked out in identical outfits.

Wedding Party Gift Guide Idea #2 - Something Fun

Bridal flip flops come in all types of designs - even ones that say 'Thank You'. How perfect!

Wedding Party Gift Guide Idea #3 - Survival of the Prettiest

How about a Bridesmaid Survival Kit? These can be found pre-made on-line or create your own. Tuck in a sewing kit, band-aids, nail file and breath mints. Take it a step further by having each bag personalized with the maid's name and include her favorite lipstick or perfume!

Wedding Party Gift Guide Idea #4 - Bottoms Up!

Don't let the guys have all the fun. Flasks come in pretty pink colors - even rinestone studded - for the ladies. Take it a step further and have each flask engraved with the maid's initials. Note - have each bridesmaids decked out with a garter and tuck their pink flasks inside. Makes for a very fun bridesmaid photo!

Wedding Party Gift Guide Idea #5 - Just say 'Ahhhhh!'

Another great gift for the gals is a Relaxation Spa Kit. Again, these can be found on-line, already put together or make your own. Tuck in a gel eye mask, manicure kit, bath pouf, emery boards and toe separators. Placed in a bag with the maid's initials or name, makes for a very personalized gift.

Wedding Party Gift Guide Idea #6 - Little Piggies

All gals will love a pedicure gift certificate! Partner this with the Thank You Flip Flops listed in idea number two and you have the perfect gift.

Wedding Party Gift Guide Idea #7 - Let's Go Shopping

Just about all gals love gift certificates. Let's face it - it's guilt free shopping! But take it a step further and present each bridesmaid a different gift certificate - one to their favorite shop.

Remember when choosing gifts for your bridesmaids, it's o.k. to have a slightly different gift for each gal. In fact, this shows that you took the time to consider each girl and what they would most enjoy. Wedding party gifts for the bridesmaids should be fun and personal. Make it special for them!
