3 Great Flat Stomach Exercises

So as a Personal Trainer I get asked the question all the time from clients, friends and family, what are the best flat stomach exercises? There are a ton of exercises you can do for your stomach, but you may be wasting your time if you are not doing the right ones. I am going to break down three of my favorite exercises for a flat stomach.

Getting a flat stomach is a very desired result when it comes to one's fitness and health. Achieving your desired goal and results takes hard work and the right guidance. You can have all the motivation and action in the world, but if you do not have the right action plan, you may be lost spinning your wheels. You might find yourself bouncing from one idea to the next, not ever giving yourself a straightened arrow of an action plan.

There are certain things you can do to achieve the goals you may want to achieve when it comes to your big belly and one is having the right flat stomach exercises. So let's cut to the chase and get to your exercises for a flat stomach.

The first exercise you can start incorporating into your workout routine is the "plank." The plank is a very simple exercise and can be done anywhere at anytime. What I love about the plank is that it concentrates your body weight to your whole core. It also acts as a multi-functional exercise, working your shoulders, legs, arms and hips.

The second flat stomach exercise you need to add to your workout routine is straight legged dead lifts. What I love about straight legged dead lifts is you build really strong hamstrings and lower back muscles. Having a strong lower back and hamstrings helps with pulling your stomach in. The other thing that dead lifts are good for are they are a multi-functional exercise. Incorporating several muscle groups into one exercise spikes your metabolic rate, helping your burn belly fat faster.

The third of the flat stomach exercises you should do are old school mountain climbers. Mountain climbers cause you to engage your core, get your heart rate up and require multiple muscles to perform. These three recipes for a flat stomach are what you are looking for to get to your results.

So in conclusion, the three exercises you need to perform to help get you a flat stomach are planks, straight legged dead lifts and mountain climbers. Engage your core, get your heart rate up and use multiple muscles when you are performing flat stomach exercises.
