1) STAY AWAY FROM SODA AND SUGARY DRINKS

Any unnecessary sugar is bad for your body due to the fact that it has the effect of slowing down your metabolism. This includes any food or drink whatsoever with added sugar. Sugary drinks, however, are especially bad because of the way we process them. The average serving of soda has so much fructose in it that the human body can't even hope to process all of it, and thus stores it all as body fat, namely in the drinker's midsection. Since the liver has to try and process this fructose, fat accumulates there as well. And to top it all off, liquids aren't processed by the brain the same way that solids are, so you can take in up to twice the calories from sugary drinks that you would if they were solids, which can also add to an increase in belly fat. The solution to all these problems? Cut sodas and sugary drinks out of your diet completely! It's well worth it on your quest to losing belly fat.

2) CUT DOWN ON CARBS

An interesting tidbit about carbs: cutting down on them can reduce up to 2-3x more weight than cutting down on fat. That's not to say that you should have a high-fat diet, but it's something to consider when you begin weighing out what you ought to be eating every day. Foods like pastas, rice, and bread, which are chock-full of carbs, lead to increased appetite and increased caloric intake. Reducing carbs in your diet has also been shown to lead to an increase in burning of belly and organ fat.

3) CONSIDER AEROBICS

It is often thought that doing crunches every day will result in extreme loss of belly fat. However, studies have shown that this simply is not the case.
