Are You Fed Up Trying To Lose Weight?

If you are fed up trying and failing to lose weight you are not alone. With the current obesity epidemic it is obvious that the message on healthy eating and getting more physical exercise is either being misunderstood or ignored. So what can you do to improve your chances of reaching your ideal weight?

Try these five tips on how to set yourself up for success and finally achieve that figure you have always wanted:

  1. You need to be good to yourself and set realistic goals. Every pound you lose is an achievement and you deserve to celebrate just don't do it by reaching for your favorite snack!
  2. Remember that the studies prove that you will keep your new figure longer if your weight loss is slow and steady.
  3. Faddy diets don't work as you end up feeling deprived not to mention hungry. It is not healthy to cut a complete food group out of your diet even if it is fats. Not all fats are bad for you. In fact some such as omega 3 and 6 are vital for a healthy body, brain and glowing skin. It is the hidden fats in chips, cakes, biscuits and processed food that you want to avoid.
  4. Starvation doesn't work. Your body will slow down your metabolism as it will believe you are truly starving and this will stop you losing weight. Instead by changing your whole eating regime you can feel full and satisfied while still losing those excess pounds.
  5. Get into the habit of reading the labels on the foods you buy. The first thing you should notice is how much sugar or additives many of the fat free products contain. These are added so the item tastes OK but now you know why people who only eat diet products never keep the weight off. These hidden sugars cause havoc with their system and the lack of fats means that they get depressed without ever knowing why. Not the ideal set up for someone to achieve healthy weight loss.

You are far more likely to achieve your weight loss goals if you have the support and motivation of a group environment then if you try doing it on your own.

Join a lifetime fitness bootcamp and you will find others in a similar situation. Together you can motivate each other and achieve your weight loss goals. Just make sure you apply the ten top tips to making the most of your fitness bootcamp experience.
