- Consume 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. All fruits and vegetables are high in fiber and low in calories, so you can consume more and feel full sooner. That way the amount of food you were planning to consume can be decreased.
- Put antioxidants in to your menu. Eat kiwis, pears, bran flakes, almonds, apricots, dill, legumes, nuts, dark chocolate, olive oil, etc. These are all rich in vitamins A, C and E, in flavonoids and other elements that prevent fat storage and control the hormones involved in the formation of fat.
- Cook with olive oil only and consume a small handful of unsalted nuts every day. Although containing fats, these are mono fats, so they prevent insulin from stopping the breakdown of fats and lipids.
- Do not skip any meal and make sure you have breakfast every day. It helps to regulate the feeling of being hungry and consuming sweets or other unhealthy snacks during the day.
- Do fitness snacking daily. It will help to keep your body muscles in shape, speed up your metabolism and burn fat.
- Drink green tea. It is an excellent antioxidant and can speed up your metabolism by 3-4%, meaning you could burn almost 70 extra calories per day.
- Follow the three-hours-golden-rule. This is the secret that leads to fat burning. How often we eat is very important for making our metabolism work steadily on burning fat.
- Prefer foods high in fiber. These can help you eat less feeling more full and are an immediate relief for constipation.

I try and keep a packet of almonds with me every day for a quick snack. i found that the almonds curb hunger better than most other crunchy snacks. Since they are high in antioxidants there is an added bonus too. Good article
