Coconut Oil For Weight Loss And More

It's been proven that the medium chain fatty acids found in organic coconut oil are three times more efficient at raising the metabolism than long chain fatty acids. What does all this mean? Well, if you're not familiar with organic coconut oil, 60% of it consists of these medium chain fatty acids which are responsible for weight loss success. However, this isn't the only factor involved, read on to learn all the ways adding organic coconut oil will help you to lose weight.

In regards to the first sentence stating that the medium chain fatty acids are responsible for increasing the metabolism, a study was conducted proving this fact. The metabolism of the participants' were evaluated following a meal rich in these fatty acids. It showed that their metabolism increased by 48 percent and in obese participants', by an astounding 65 percent. Research has also shown that this impact can last for the next 24 hours.

Luckily, organic coconut oil consists primarily of these medium chain fatty acids. A lot of the other oils consist of long chain fatty acids, which are not good for you. The long chain fatty acids are not easily broken down by the body and are easily stored in the body as fat. They do not speed up the metabolism as do the "medium" ones. It's important to choose an oil that you will benefit from and one that's healthy and good for you. Organic coconut oil is the perfect choice.

Many people believe in popping diet pills or drinking lots of caffeine to stimulate the metabolism. This is not good for you because it's not an all natural solution. Extra virgin organic coconut oil is the secret to an all natural way to boost the metabolism, cut cravings, give you more energy, prevent blood sugar fluctuations, is easily digested, and converted to energy in the body, not fat. It's excellent to use for detoxification and it kills candida, a yeast overgrowth responsible for lack of energy and weight gain.

If you've never had it before, my advice to you is to start out slow. I started out with just a teaspoon mixed in my coffee in the morning and slowly increased the amount each day. The amount to take daily is based upon your weight: +100 lbs - 2 1/2 tbsp. per day, +125 lbs - 3 tbsp. per day, +150 lbs - 3 1/2 tbsp. per day, and +175 lbs. - 4 tbsp. per day. The reason why you need to start out slowly is because you want to make sure you are not allergic to it.

This article is focusing on organic coconut oil for weight loss, but there are many health benefits of coconut oil, too. If you don't need to lose weight, then it can be taken as a nutritional supplement. I am at a healthy weight so I just consume a tablespoon each morning in my coffee to stay healthy. I've tested it out now for about 6 months and I made it through the winter without getting sick (this is a first), plus it helped to improve my oral health. There really is a lot to learn about this amazing tropical oil.
