Dangerous Ab Fat

We all know that ab fat is pretty ugly and that it can be frustrating to try to get rid of, but lately it has been reported that ab fat is noy just ugly but a dangerous killer.

Carl, 45, was a typical guy with a rather impressive reserve of ab fat.  He worked construction and never gave much thought to his excess ab fat.  He never had really wanted to be Mr. America and strut the beach with a rippling six-pack.  He just did his job, had a few beers after work, hated vegetables, loved fast food and anything fried.  Then on April 19, 2009 while at work he suddenly clutched his chest and fell to the ground.

Carl is like a lot of Americans who carry ab fat around almost as a badge of honor and like Carl, their ab fat is a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode in heart disease, stroke and/or diabetes.  It is a fact that Americans who carry around excess ab fat are at a much higher risk for these diseases and that they die much earlier than their non ab fat counterparts.

Two Types Of Ab Fat?

As it turns out, there are two types of ab fat and one type is more dangerous than the other.  Ab fat that is just under the skin is called subcutaneous ab fat and it is what creates that loose blubber effect and hides our ab muscles so that no matter how ripped they are, no one ever sees it.  The other type of ab fat is underneath the ab muscles, is inside the abdominal cavity and it surrounds your internal organs.

It is the internal ab fat that is the most dangerous, but lest you look in the mirror and see a sea of blubber and sigh in relief, often subcutaneous ab fat and internal ab fat go hand in hand.  Add to this, internal ab fat is pretty invisible.

Why Is Ab Fat Dangerous

The blood from your abdominal cavity flows into your vital organs and as it passes through an abdominal cavity dominated by ab fat it picks up dangerous triglycerides from the ab fat.  This in turn causes plaque build up in your vital organs such as your heart, lungs, and brain.  It is something that you don't really want to fool around with because you will never see it coming until it is too late to avoid a crisis.

What Can You Do About Dangerous Ab Fat

The short answer is to lose it.  I know, easier said than done but that is the only way to dramatically cut your risks from dangerous ab fat.  The secret is to find a way to burn more calories than you consume.  Before you throw your hands in the air, there are hard ways to do this and less hard ways and the rewards of succeeding are well worth it.

Never underestimate the power of staring a medical crisis in the face and the best time to take action is before one starts.  The building blocks for avoiding a medical crisis due to dangerous ab fat is...

1) Exercise 2) A Doable Meal Plan 3) Drinking Enough Water 4) Getting Enough Rest

Ab Fat Reduction exercise

Ab fat reduction exercise, surprisingly, is not crunches or setups.  Those type of exercises sculpt and shape your ab muscles but they have very little effect on reducing ab fat.  You need to do fat burning exercise which include cardio and resistance training.  Cardio helps boost your metabolism or ab fat burning rate.  Resistance training or weight lifting builds lean muscle tissue which burns 4 tines the amount of energy than other types of tissue.  The more lean muscle tissue you have the easier it is to keep up your ab fat loss. So setting up a program where you alternate cardio exercise with resistance training is one of the best things you can do.

A Doable Ab Fat Reducing Meal Plan

Having a good meal plan can literally mean the difference between success and failure.  You need a plan you can live with.  No matter how healthy a plan is, it won't work if you can't stick with it.  There are several ways to develop a great meal plan and as you do you should keep in mind that this is a meal plan you need to stick with the rest of your life so be reasonable.  Trying to radically change the way you have eaten since you developed teeth is just crazy.  You need to compromise and develop a plan that allows you to still eat your favorite foods and lose ab fat. I do not have room here to go into much detail but I have developed an ab fat report that does.

Drink Water To Reduce Ab Fat

Water is the transportation system of the body.  It is as simple as that.  If you do not have enough water in your system, everything slows down or stops including ab fat reduction.  How much water you need depends on your body mass, activity level, environmental factors and much more, but I say just keep it simple and drink 64 ounces a day.

Sleep Ab Fat Away

Getting enough sleep each night is so important.  Not enough sleep will stop ab fat loss in its tracks.  Sleep is when the body heals itself and keeping the body's systems in to shape also keeps the body flushing ab fat at a high rate.

If you can set up these 4 principles and make them habitual in your lifestyle, you can greatly reduce your chances of having a medical crisis and who knows, maybe you will get that flat stomach or six-pack abs after all.
