Do I Need To Lose Weight?
Join 1000's of Authors at StreetArticles Today!

Are you asking yourself "do I need to lose weight"? Do you feel bloated all the time? Are your clothes getting tight? Do you feel winded when doing the simplest activities? Have you seen a recent picture of yourself and were not happy with the way you looked? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may need to lose some weight.

What about your measurements? If you are a male, is your waist measurement over 40 inches? If you are female, is your waist over 35 inches? What is your BMI? Is it 25 or higher? If you answered yes to these questions as well, then you need to lose weight.

Maybe you feel larger than you used to, but your measurements are not in the categories that I mentioned above. If this is the case, then you are in a very good place. Don't ignore that feeling that you might need to lose some weight, because it is very easy to lose a few pounds. It is when you keep asking yourself the question "do I need to lose weight" but never do anything that you start to slowly add on pound after pound. Before you know it, you have so much to lose and it becomes a huge struggle to get rid of it.

The reason for this is as you gain weight, you tend to slow down because you are requiring more energy to carry around all the extra weight. Pick up a 9 pound bowling ball and carry it around with you all day and you will see what I mean. It makes you tire much easier and therefore you end up not exercising as much as you need to. Add in the fact that your metabolism slows down with weight gain and age, and you have a recipe for disaster. If you are not burning as many of the calories that you take in, then the pounds will be put on very easily. So with a lower metabolism and the difficulty of exercising with all the extra weight, you have just put yourself in the worst place.

There is hope though. There is a program called Strip That Fat that is available on-line that can help you get back on the right track. You will learn how to eat and drink correctly and what you need to aim for on a daily basis to lose the weight. They have various tools and information to explain what you need to do each day to be successful in losing weight. Because it is offered on-line, the moment you purchase it you will have access to the information. No need to wait for a package to arrive.

Do yourself a favor and don't wait another minute. If you are asking yourself "do I need to lose weight?" then chances are you could lose something. Take the steps now to learn howto make healthy changes and start looking and feeling betternow.
