Cellulite is caused by a combination of fat, and weak, unused muscles. So to answer the question "Does Losing Weight Reduce Cellulite?" honestly, I'd have to say yes. Don't get excited just yet.
You can reduce a portion of your cellulite by eating a low fat, high fiber diet. Cut back on sodium, caffeine, sugar, and drink plenty of water. You are not aiming for weight loss as much as you are fat loss, when it comes to getting rid of cellulite.
So now that we have attacked the first part of the problem, we must work on the second part.. the weak, unused muscles. Did you know that you have hundreds of muscles in your butt, thighs, hips, legs, and lower stomach?
If you do not stay active and use all of these muscles you will begin to lose elasticity, which also means you will start to see flab that jiggles when you walk.
When these muscles are kept tight, tone, and firm they act as a barrier to prevent the fat from breaking through and making its way to the surface creating that rippled, orange peel look we call cellulite.
Using weights, or exercise machines like the ones found at your local gym can make your cellulite problem even worse. Home workout equipment can also do more harm than good. You must follow a routine that is laser targeted at removing cellulite.
