Easy Dieting Tips To Lose Weight And Keep It Off

Searching for easy dieting tips can be a daunting task. In every direction you look there is repetitive information on dieting. I will show you some easy dieting tips that will help you get the extra weight off and keep it off.

First you need to know that to lose weight you have to consume less food than you are burning off. If you are not an active person then you have to limit your foods to healthy foods and less food. If you are active then you can get away with eating more but you still need to eat healthy thus not eating a candy bar or chips after your workout.

If you have not been very active in awhile and you have not been watching what you eat lately then your metabolism is probably pretty sluggish. The same goes for those who have attempted to limit their calories so low that their bodies have gone into starvation mode.

If your metabolism is sluggish then you are going to find it very hard to lose weight no matter what you do to lose it. You can not starve yourself and you can not over indulge to lose weight.

Easy Dieting Tips

To get your metabolism up and going again you need to start exercising. A brisk walk once a day, an exercise video, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, anything that will get you moving and get your heart rate up for a few minutes will do wonders over time.

If you live in the city and take public transportation you have the perfect opportunity to get in a nice walk on the way out and the way back home. Let me explain. Instead of taking the bus stop in front of you apartment walk down the street to the next stop.

The same for the train, a cab, or the subway. If you do this twice a day and the next stop is a half mile down the road you will get in a mile a day and it will not take you much time to walk a half a mile so you do not have to rearrange your timing very much.

You are also going to have to eat. Yes eat. You need to eat several times a day. Three small meals and snacks in between is ideal. A lot of people know this but it is not implemented correctly so it does not work for them. When you eat 5 times a day you prevent your body from going into starvation mode. When this happens you body thinks it is not going to get anymore food the body then hangs on to what it has, not allowing you to lose weight in the long run.

So what should you be eating 5 times a day? Well you should always have breakfast. This gets your metabolism working right away in the morning. Believe it or not 1 fried egg in the morning will get your metabolism started first thing in the morning. Have that with a piece of whole wheat toast and your coffee and you are ready to start the day.

You can also have a bowl of cereal nonsweetened of course. A bowl of oatmeal, scrambled egg, and so forth. Limit your meat in the morning. Breakfast meats are very fatty and greasy.

For a snack you can have a fruit or a veggie like carrots or celery. Stay away from canned fruits and veggies try to only eat fresh of frozen. You can also choose to have a yogurt or something small like that.

For lunch you can have a salad, a turkey sandwich on wheat bread, or you can go with a meal if you are eating out. Limit your meal to 4 oz of meat, a fruit, a veggie, and a half of breadstick or 1 piece of whole wheat bread. Stay away from starch and high fat meats such as pork.

Another small snack after lunch consisting of something small. And then dinner. Dinner is much like your lunch meal. 4 oz of meat. Use low fat meats such as top sirloin steak, chicken breast, white fish, shellfish, or game meats such as venison or buffalo. Have a fresh or frozen veggie, a fresh or frozen fruit, and a piece of whole wheat bread or 2 melba toast. 

Some of the best foods for weight loss taste good and will not leave you feeling hungry. Incorporate them into your daily lifestyle and you will become healthier and lose your unwanted weight.

Following these easy dieting tips laid out above for you, you will lose weight and keep it off. You will change your eating style and learn to live a healthier life. Do this for you and your family.  Don’t let your family fall into the health problems that todays society has fallen into.
