Effective Strategies To Diet Before Marriage

Are you getting married in a few months? Are you thinking that you might want to lose a few pounds before you tie the knot? Relax, I have some proven strategies to help you diet before marriage. First, I am going to tell you how to set up your diet plan. Next, I am going to tell you about a few ways that you can burn off some calories. Lastly, I am going to tell you how to keep the weight off during the marriage.

How do you set up your diet plan? As you know their are hundreds of diets on the market today. Some involve drinking water, starving yourself, taking pills you name it and you will be able to find a special diet for it. Many of the diets on the market are expensive and time consuming. I am going to tell you right now to save your money. It does not cost a lot of money to set up and start on a diet plan. The most that you should spend will be on the fresh foods that you buy and eat.

The first thing that you have to do is figure out how much weight do you want to lose? Ask yourself a few questions. If you feel that you are a little heavy today think back to a time when you were not heavy and feeling good. Remember yet? Now do you remember what your weight was? An example, I felt best went I was in college. During my college days my feel good weight was 160 pounds.

Today, 24 years later my weight is 175 pounds. The difference between then and now is 15 pounds. Now if you have three months to diet before marriage then you might want to set your weight loss goal at your feel good weight. Using the example of 15 pounds here is how you do it. You have three months to diet before marriage. Divide 15 pounds by 12 weeks equals 1.25 pounds per week. So the weight loss goal using the example is to lose 1.25 pounds per week. Try this yourself divide the amount of weight you want to lose by the time that you allot to lose the weight.

Now that you have a weight loss goal. I will tell you how to lose weight using a calorie system. A calorie is an amount of food that produces energy. All foods that we as humans eat has a calorie value. For example, 150 grams of chicken or turkey breast is 248 calories or 200 grams of white fish is 256 calories. If it helps think of a calorie as a unit of energy in the form of food. To find out how many calories you eat multiply your body weight times 13. The answer will give the amount of calories that you eat to maintain your present weight. Example: your body weight is 191 pounds X 13 = 2483 calories.

To use a calorie system you will need a food calorie chart which can be found on the internet for free by going to Google and typing in "food calorie chart". On the first page you want to look for a food calorie chart that has all of the foods along with their calorie values. Next you will need a food scale which can be found at many stores from $12 to $34. The food scale is used to measure food your portions. Controlling your portions of food that you eat is important to your weight loss goal. Another item that comes in handy is a calculator. The calculator helps speed up the math you will be doing. A pencil and paper is also handy so you can write things down.

Now this is how you use the calorie system to diet before marriage. Using the example of 2483 calories as your daily food intake to lose weight drop your daily calorie intake by 300 calories. Example: 2483-300= 2183. 2183 would be your new daily calorie intake. You can eat whatever you want but do not exceed your new daily calorie intake level. For the next 4 weeks stay at your new daily calorie intake level. On the 5th week drop your daily calorie intake another 200 calories. Using the example of 2183-200= 1983. Stay at the new daily calorie level until your weight loss goal has been reached.

If after you reach your weight loss goal you don't feel good at that weight, you can make adjustments. You make those adjustments by changing your daily calorie intake level. If you want to lose more weight then you can drop calories from your daily calorie number or if you want to add some weight then you increase the number on your daily calorie intake.

When you use a calorie system to lose weight their are some basic rules that you must follow in order for it to work. You can not exceed your daily calorie intake number. If you do exceed the daily calorie intake level that you set to lose the weight you will not lose weight. Never drop your daily calorie intake level below 1200 calories. If you drop below 1200 calories per day you will deprive your body of badly need energy to sustain itself. This is dangerous, you will run the risk of organ failure. I say organ failure because you really do not know which organ will fail because it depends on the individual but it will happen. Stay away from all things containing sugar at lease for the first 6 weeks. After that time you may have small portions of dessert. Make sure that it falls well within your daily calorie intake level.

The information i just gave you will help you lose weight before marriage. If you want to burn off even more calories add a 30 to 45 minute daily workout and you will lose even more weight. losing weight requires some commitment and self motivation. It is all up to you.
