While any exercise will burn calories, a quick walk for 55 minutes stretches the fat burning process and hence burn stored fat. I would recommend 55 to 60 minutes of minimum time instead of 45 minutes because when you will approach to 45 minute mark your body will start fat burning process if you carry on and extend 10 to15 minutes more then your body will burn even more calories. But before walking you shouldn’t take high calorie rich food.
