If anyone hasn't seen the latest news on weight loss pills, The FDA has warned customers of a tainted new weight loss supplement called "Japan Weight Loss Diet Pills" that possibly contain a cancer-causing agent. The diet pills which are distributed by the company Xiushentang and sold by websites like ebay, have become the subject of a FDA laboratory analysis.
The analysis has revealed that the "Japan Weight Loss Diet Pills" contain harmful chemicals called Phenolphthalein and Sibutramine. While Phenolphthalein is a very harmful chemical that is even capable of altering and causing a mutation in ones DNA, the FDA classifies it as not safe or effective.
Sibutramine is the second harmful chemical found in the diet pills, Sibutramine is known as a substance that can potentially increase blood pressure and pulse rate in certain cases.
If anyone remembers the obesity drug called Meridia created by Abbott Laboratories that was pulled from the weight loss market in october of 2010 due to rising the risk of heart attack and/or stroke, the chemical that was found in Meridia was also Sibutramine.
An announcement made by the FDA has warned customers who have purchased the product that they should immediately stop taking it and if experiencing any side effects should immediately consult and doctor. It shouldn't be too long before the product is dropped from the market.
My opinion
I am utterly disgusted at the fact that certain companies can distribute such harmful products, knowing that they can potentially cause cancer in their customers or even alter their DNA! I hope to see soon the "Japan Weight Loss Diet Pills" pulled off the market and/or fined.
What ever happened to the old traditional approach to losing weight? So many people these days would rather risk their money on the newest hot product that has hit the market without conducting any research on what the actual pills contain. This is a real eye-opener for everybody that is in the weight loss game, do as much research as possible before you even consider buying some international pills.
With all these magic pills that apparently help you to lose weight fast, what I would like to know is what happens after you stop taking them? certainly they can't be a permanent solution to lose weight without at least altering something in your body to keep the weight off after you stop consuming them. This is enough for me to look the other way, I wouldn't want anything messing around with my body! Why not just stick to the traditional way successfully lose weight naturally.
