Healthy Low Calorie Foods

There are many healthy lower calorie foods that you can use in your diet to keep your weight loss goals on track. There are even 0 calorie foods that you can eat! You may have heard of zero calorie foods and thought it was ridiculous. I did too before I realized what it meant.

What that means is, zero calorie foods are foods that have less calories than your body uses to process it. Because of this, you can eat these foods as part of your daily dieting routine and not have to count the calories. Once you get creative with these foods, you can make masterful tasty dishes that are low in calories!

An example of some of these is apples, watermelon, grapefruit, strawberries, carrots, lettuce, onion, pickles, garlic, broccoli, and tomatoes. All of these foods take more work to process by your body than the actual amount of calories in them. Because of their shocking lack of calories, these foods can pretty much be consumed in unlimited quantities without you gaining body fat or weight. Feel free to stuff yourself -- but only on these healthy items.

Tips For 0 Calorie Foods

Eat five or six small meals instead of three larger ones. This not only increases your body's energy levels throughout the day, but tricks your mind into being more satisfied. You can incorporate low or zero calorie foods into your meals so that you stay fuller longer.

Stay committed to your goals and keep them in mind at all times.

It is important to get creative instead of getting frustrated.

When I was younger, I loved apple crisp. The sugar, the crunch, I started to miss it when I started dieting. Then, I started playing around with apples. I would cut up apples, sprinkle cinnamon and a tiny pinch of stevia on them, spray them with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray and bake them. They were heavenly, and they are still my favorite weight loss treat to this day. Who knew I could have the same exact apple crisp taste for NO extra calories?

With healthy low calorie foods and a little exerimenting, you will get all of the benefits from calorie restriction without the suffering! Another important thing to remember is that not all calories are created equal. For examples, eighty calories of a medium sized apple (which in the end will equal zero), is not the same as eighty calories of Coca-Cola. Everything that you eat has ingredients that fuel different parts of the body, unless of course, it's a food that's mostly bad for you. Eating an apple will end up helping your body more than a few sips of soda.
