How to Chose the Right Weight Loss Program?

Overweight people have tried at least once in their life to lose weight. I am talking out of experience. I have read all that can be found on diets and how to lose weight. Results were always disappointing and sometimes even disastrous. Lately I have discovered The Dukan diet. It is a weight loss program developed by a French nutritionist, Dr Dukan, thus the name of the program.

Is this program better than any of the hundreds of diets that you could find today on the internet? Let's find out.

If you need to loose up to five kilograms then a simple change in your nutrition habits and your physical activities will help you do that. If you do not have any physical activity, daily walking for 30 minutes is more than enough.

Above 5 kgs, then you need to consult your doctor and you must be followed by a nutritionist.

Dr Dukan was originally a Generalist. In the last 30 years he specialized in nutrition behavior and education. He has improved his program over those years with results exceeding 75% of success. He has described his method in a book sold in many countries to over 3 millions persons.

An overweight person that has decided to lose weight is looking for someone or something that will help him face the biggest punishment on earth: depriving himself from one of the best pleasure on earth, eating. What an overweight person is looking is an easy method that will tell him without complications what to eat, what not to eat, at what time and how often. It is that simple. Last but not the least the most important thing he is looking for is fast and definitive results.

All the 'serious' diets in the market will provide you only part of these conditions. They will also give you strong recommendations and warnings to avoid gaining back the weight you have just lost but at the end they will let you alone facing all those nice temptations.

The Method provided by Dr Dukan has all those ingredients. The Dukan program is divided in four successive steps: an Attack Phase with pure natural proteins that results in a fast loss of weight, one period of alternate proteins, a consolidation phase where the rest of the food is reintroduced and finally a definitive stabilization phase.

To sum up losing weight is a serious decision. Choosing the right program is critical. Always ask your personal doctor to accompany you during this journey.
