You are frustrated with your weight and you want answers. You want to know how to get rid of the fat. I have been in your shoes and have struggled with my weightin the past,so I know what a strugglethis can be.

I have a few questions for you. Are you really ready to lose the fat? Are you willing to make the sacrifices that need to be made to be successful? Will you make the time to do what needs to be done? If you answered anything but "yes" to these questions, then you are not ready. Losing weight is an uphill battle and you will get frustrated and want to quit at times, but you can't. You have to be willing to make adjustments and continue on. You will go through spurts where you will feel like you are getting nowhere with your weight loss, but you have to push through them. This is what every person who has been successful at losing weight has done.

So if you think you are ready to make this commitment, then let me get you started. I really want to help you, so I am going to give you some of the information that you need to get started with your weight loss. 1. Before you begin to try to lose weight, you need to be sure that you do not have any type of metabolic disorder, i.e. thyroid, diabetes. Millions of people are walking around with an undiagnosed metabolic disorder which may be a big reason why you put on the weight in the first place. Don't put yourself through the frustration of trying to diet without ruling this out as a problem because your metabolism needs to be in working order for you to burn off any weight.

2. Find out if you are on any medications that are causing you to gain weight. There are so many different medications available for every condition and a large portion of these medications have the side effect of weight gain. Find out if yours is one of them, and if it is, see if your doctor can prescribe an alternate version of the medication that does not cause weight gain.

3. Water is extremely important. It is what helps your body to process everything including your food. If you do not give it enough water, your body spends time searching your body for water instead of processing things properly. You need to drink at least 8 glasses a day. I used to hate drinking water, but I forced myself to drink it and now I miss it if I don't have a glass handy.

4. You have to be willing to exercise. It can be any form of exercise, but you have to do something. I will walk on the treadmill, do the hula hoop (great exercise), dance while I clean the house, or traditional exercises. There are so many different ways to exercise so find something you enjoy doing. I choose different things to do each day so that I don't get tired of doing the same thing.
